Good evening.
My husband and I will be at WDW in less than 2 weeks. We have decided to give Trail's End a try.
We will be using Disney Transportation.
My question is how long is the bus ride from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness, and how far is the restaurant from the bus stop?
Thank you for your help.

From MK, you'd be much better off taking the boat to Fort Wilderness. It will drop you off just a very short walk from Trail's end.

I agree with the comment above! The boat ride should be about 5 minutes (maybe 10) and will drop you off on a dock just a few minutes away from Trail's End. I took the boat this summer from MK to Hoop De Doo and we got there in 15 minutes max. I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time in the world :)

I also agree that the boat is the way to go. With wait times and stops, I would give yourself 15-20 minutes from the MK boat dock to TE. However, if for whatever reason (sea sickness perhaps) you do not want to take the boat, remember that you will need to take the bus from MK to FW and then take the internal bus from the main bus stop (Outpost Depot) to the area where TE is located (Settlement Depot.) This will mean a longer trip. Depending on bus wait times, it could be up 45 minutes.

Yes take the boat! We made the mistake of driving to FW and then had to wait on a bus to take us back to the restaurant area. Definitely won't make that mistake again.

Trail's End was delicious; you will enjoy it for sure!

We were just there last week and it took us 15 minutes at most by bus to get there. It stopped at Wilderness Lodge first, then heads to the stop right near the restaurant, about a 500 ft walk.

Last year, we attempted to take the boat and after waiting 25 minutes for the boat to arrive, we gave up and took the bus.

The food is fantastic!

Thanks for all your wonderful replies. The information was very helpful.
We have heard good reviews about Trail's End, and we always try a few new restaurants
each trip.
