Travel Time Feasability?

So today was my 90 day mark, and I was thrilled to make all my ADRs this morning. I got everything I wanted with one exception. I wanted to book the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Brown Derby as late as possible (they said the last seating for the package was 4:30pm), but the only availability they had was at 3:30pm. Well we are supposed to be picking up a rental car in Boca Raton at noon and driving straight to DHS for dinner. Do you think we'll make it in 3.5 hours? Do you think there's any chance that a later time will open up over the next 90 days if we keep trying? :shrug: (Moving the car rental pickup time substantially earlier is problematic for various reasons.)

Btw, the ADRs I made were:
Monday - Brown Derby Fantasmic Package @3:30
Tues - Dinner @ Ohana
Fri - Lunch @ Sci Fi Dine In
Sat - DInner @ Le Cellier
Sun - Breakfast @ Park Fare

We're going to Universal on Wed and MNSSHP on Thur. I'm very excited with our plans!

Boca Raton to DHS in 3.5 hours might be difficult depending on traffic along the way, parking at DHS, getting through the gates. You might be able to pull it off if you get lucky.

Actually, what if I could make a 4:30ish ADR at the Brown Derby without the dinner package (and that's a big what if). Do you think that would give me enough time to eat dinner and then get on the regular waiting line at Fantasmic in time to get seats for 4 of us? That's the only alternative I can think of.

We've never seen Fantasmic and really wanted to do so this trip. Unfortunately, I had already purchased our MNSSHP tickets the only other date that week Fantasmic is showing so it's this night or not at all :brick:

That could work. Eat on your own somewhere and then go to Fantasmic.

Actually there are no bad seats in Fantasmic.
Last time we went, we walked in about 20 mins before the show started, had to sit all the way over on the left side, and were able to see everything just fine.

I grew up in Palm Beach County. I can say that you will need a bit more time to get from Boca to sitting down for dinner at DHS. With possible traffic, parking and walking into the park I would allow more time. Either get the 4:30 if you can or eat counter service at the park and go to fantasmic afterwards. I would go with the counter service if it was me so that you are not stressed trying to make a reservation. Though I would think you would enough time if you are able to get the 4:30.
