Trattoria Al Forno for Breakfast

Several years ago, our family ate at Trattoria Al Forno at the Boardwalk…my favorite item for breakfast was the King Triton’s Shipwreck Al Forno, a breakfast calzone with gravy (a/k/a tomato sauce). It was undoubtedly the best breakfast on property with Pooh’s puffed French toast at Crystal Palace coming in a close second…

After the pandemic and the suspension of the characters, it was taken (and remains) off the menu.

My wife and I were staying at the BW earlier this month and passed by as the manager happened to be standing outside. I started talking to him about how disappointed I was that it was taken off and never returned to the menu.

He said “it’s off the menu, but we can make it for you…” We immediately made an ADR for later in the week, and I was able to order it. AWESOME, just like I remembered it!! My wife had the pancakes and they were great too! If you get the chance, have breakfast there and speak with your server beforehand, if the chef can make it, trust me, it’s the BEST!! A little pixie dust on an AMAZING meal.

Love the Disney magic! When I sailed on the Wonder I commented to the server CM at breakfast that I loved the salmon the night before. He asked if I wanted it for breakfast. I told him YES! I enjoyed my breakfast that day!

Now that's guest service! I hope you left a cast compliment for the manager - they deserve recognition, too! (Even though at a deluxe resort, that kind of service should be automatic/standard!)
