Transportation ?

So, we're thinking of going to Fort Wilderness for the campfire sing-along. We would be leaving MK and heading in that direction. I know we can take a boat or bus to FW, but once we're there and done what is the best way to get back to our resort (an All Star resort)? Bus back to MK and then bus to resort?

Depends on if the parks are still open. If they are, you could hop on the first park bus to arrive, and then catch the appropriate bus there. Caveats to this approach, if Wishes is being held prior to park close, or multiple showings of F!, heading to either of those parks around those times would potentially mean a long line for resort buses. In that case, I would suggest avoiding those. If the parks aren't open (no idea what time the campfire is) then head to DTD and transfer.

You can also head to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. They have transportation from there to the TTC I think that link you to buses to your resort. You can also get a cab. Yes it cost money, but is much simpler as well.

I'd take the bus from the main bus depot (Settlement Depot, I believe), or the ferry boat from near Pioneer Hall, to the Magic Kingdom (or, as @dreamfinder suggested, to DTD if you want to avoid park-closing-time crowds), and then a bus to your resort from there. The Singalong is centrally located in Fort Wilderness, although it's probably a tad closer to Pioneer Hall than to the Settlement Depot, so if the weather is nice, I'd choose the boat.
