Transportation to Winter Summerland when Blizzard Beach is closed?

Can someone help me with how to get to Winter Summerland when Blizzard Beach is closed? We plan to go in the early evening and we will not have a car. We would prefer to go to this one over Fantasia. Thanks!

Well, BB has re-opened this season, so it won't be closed until next year (late 2009). If that's when you are going, just go to the front desk and inquire. Busses will run a special trip (probally the ones running to Animal Kingdom).

Thanks for the information. We are actually going in a couple of weeks! I know that Blizzard Beach closes at 5 but Winter Summerland is open until 11. We wanted to go in the early evening (6-7).

You stated that you are not renting a car, so you must be staying on property. Disney transportation is quite adequate. I suggest checking with bell services at your resort.

There are no scheduled buses to Winter/Summerland after BB closes for the day. But I am told (by bus drivers, but we can probably trust them on this one!) that the DAK buses will stop at BB for Winter/Summerland upon request. Wouldn't surprise if a bus to AKL, CS, or ASSports would do so as well, but you'd need to ask.

Finally, if the weather is nice, I can recommend the path from CS to BB. Pleasant and easy to follow.

Actually, I am pretty sure that an Epcot bus that I hopped on from Coronado Springs late one November or December evening last year made a stop at Blizzard Beach specifically to pick up and drop off Guests who were playing at Winter/Summerland. I believe that this was around 8:30 PM or so. Depending on the resort, Blizzard Beach may be served by an Animal Kingdom, Epcot, or a separate bus. So, when in doubt, it is always best to ask a Cast Member.

That's a bit of an assumption. I've stayed on and offsite and never hired a car. It maybe makes things a little time consuming but I'm glad to get away from having to drive around for a couple of weeks.
