Transportation to Hoop-Dee-Doo Review

We will be in the Magic Kingdom the day we have reservations for the HDDR at 7:15. Which is the best way to get to Fort Wilderness? I had read that we could take a boat or take a bus from the ticket & trans center. Do we just get the boat or bus for Fort Wilderness and does it let us off right at the HDDR? How much time should we allow for either? We were told to arrive 30 minutes before show time. We are going in early June.

Really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

One time when me and my family went to the Hoop-Dee- Doo show we took a boat from the Contemporary Resort and it took about five minutes after we got on the boat to land at Fort Wilderness dock and then the hall where HDDR was a two minute walk from the dock. We also took a bus to see it one time and it was a little more time but the bus station is right down the road from the hall.

Do you know if you can take a fold up wheelchair on the boat? We plan on using the boat from the CT (where we will be staying - so convienent!) the night we go to he HDDR. My Mom will need the wheel chair for the two min. walk but can get out of it for the boat ride.

I would take the boat from MK. I think it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to FW because I believe it stops at Wilderness Lodge???. The boat lets you out near Pioneer Hall and the HDD as well as the Trading Post. I would leave MK about 6 pm.

All boats are wheelchair accessible. Your mom won't even have to get out.

The bus is from the TTC and drops you off at the parking lot of FW. There was a special bus running that was only for HDD during the past summer. If not then you have a longer bus route to get to HDD. Either way it will take you longer on bus than it will on the boat.

TAKE THE BOAT FROM MK.

Boat from MK to FW

Make sure you leave enough time to take the boat from the Magic Kingdom. The boat cycles on about a 45 minute loop.

We used it once and 'just missed' the departing trip. We wound up too late to get to HDDR (missed by about 10 minutes!)

The boats are all wheel chair accessible, as well as the docks and Pioneer Hall.

As in driving to FW?

You have to park in the main lot by the stables where River Country parking is and for the stables. The bus stop is right there.

There may be a special bus for HDD guests only. If there is it will say special and say something about HDD somewhere. If not, just ask a driver.

If there isn't, you have to get on the normal bus that circles thru all of the loops. I don't remember the order, but I think Pioneer Hall (HDD area) is in the middle of the loops.

I would get to FW at about 4 pm if going to the 5 pm show.

NOTE: Tyler (Fantasia Boi) has said something about new routes in FW. This may affect your travel time and route. If he would stop by here, he might be able to give you some more information.

The new routes within FW really wouldn't change anything for Hoop Dee Doo guests...

One thing to note... when the Hoop Dee Doo is over with... they'll usually run special busses back to Port Orleans, Carribean, All Stars, and other resorts... I cant remember with the new system if the busses are at Settlement or Outpost... Just ask a bus driver, they'll let you know. :)

Sounds like a better idea to use the buses. Thx :)
