Transportation to Hoop-de-Doo Revue

Hey folks. My DH and I are heading back to the world in Jan '07 and are going to be experiencing the Hoop-de-Doo Muscial Revue show our first day there. We have a 7:15pm reservation and are planing on visiting Animal Kingdom during the day. We will be using Disney Transportation.

My question to you is : what is the best route to take from Animal Kingdom and what time should we plan on leaving AK? We've never been to Fort Wilderness/Pioneer Hall before and I haven't been able to find appropriate mapping of the area on line.

Thanks!

There are busses that go from AK to FW. You might want to ask the driver where to get off to see the Hoop Dee Doo. There is a stop for Pioneer Hall, and most likely the bus will stop there, but I don't think it would hurt to double check.

Have fun! Its a terrific show!

Don't know if this is better, but might want to take bus to Wilderness Lodge and then take boat from WL to the Campgrounds.

When we did HDR two years ago, we went from our resort, so we took a bus to Magic Kingdom and then took the boat from their which loops to WL then to the Campgrounds, then back again. That was a nice ride. It was a little crowded going back to MK, but was still enjoyable.

Have a great time, it's a great show. My family really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I wasn't too sure if it would be faster to get to the TTC and then transfer from there. I thought there was boat service to FW; that's when I got really confused. :veryconfu

I was hoping to leave AK after 5pm. I'm thinking that should be enough time to get to FW and spend a little time exploring before we get to the Hall for the show.

You should leave about an hour for travelling. I know it seems like a long time, but you never know when the bus will show up (you could have missed one by a minute or two). I've never really travelled to FW from another park, just by boat from the WL.

If you get there early, spend some time looking around & relaxing. Have fun!

I think, if it hasn't changed, that most busses to and from FW to the parks stop at WL too, so taking the boat from WL is a fun option, though it will likely add a bit of time to your trip, as you have to get off the bus, walk through WL, wait for the boat, then go to FW. Not necessarily a bad trip, if you enjoy that sort of sight-seeing on your way to things. But DEFINITELY leave at least an hour if you go that way. The boat is a lot of fun though, and the bus from AK to FW doesn't stop by Hoop De Doo. From the bus stop you'll still have to take the internal FW bus to get to HDD. So it's a bit hassly either way. I'd do the boat option, for sure!!! If I was lucky enough for it to be me, that is...

The boat option would be my choice too, since the boat drops you off right by Pioneer Hall. A friend of mine took the bus to FW and was told it wasn't too far of a walk, WRONG, it was a huge walk and if it weren't for some nice CM in a golf cart that took her over the hall, she'd probably still be walking.
