Transportation Routes??

I am thinking of staying at the Boardwalk during the second half of August 2008 and I am wondering if someone can help me with some questions about transportation?

I understand that the Boardwalk shares some of its transportation services with other resorts around the lake. Does anyone know the actual routes and stops? For example: If I wanted to get to the Magic Kingdom via Bus. Does the bus stop somewhere else before the Boardwalk (might it be full?)? Does it stop at other hotels on the way to Magic Kingdom? What about the return trip?

So I am just wondering if this information is posted somewhere online or if anyone here knows all of it off the top of their head?

Basically I am just wondering about the 4 major parks.

Thanks in advance

Also, does anyone have any advice or tips about/concerning the Boardwalk?

Those Deluxe Epcot Resorts all have "it depends" for their bus routes.

As for Epcot, always choose to walk.

For MGM, we prefer to walk, but you can take a FriendShip boat. At end of park closings you will sometimes have to wait for a second boat--we walk.

The bus routes to MK and Animal Kingdom can go Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach, BoardWalk......or vice versa. Sometimes first, sometimes last.

Additionally sometimes it is ONLY BoardWalk.

Yet sometimes it is BoardWalk, Yacht & Beach.

Even some other times it is BoardWalk, Swan/Dolphin.

I assume the bus routes deal with time of day, bus stop waits, and time of year.

Either way, the bus service is good. Lots of busses pass through. Sometimes you wait a little longer than you'd like, but that happens at ALL Disney Resorts.

Generally the Boardwalk is the last drop and, hence, the last pick up for the Magic Kingdom when they are running the Swan-Dolphin-Yacht-Beach-Boardwalk route.

I don't remember ever seeing a bus too full for the Magic Kingdom from Boardwalk.

Depending on the time in August the route may be cut down to Yacht-Beach-Boardwalk route. I've even seen a bus just for the Boardwalk before but only once.

Unless we're really pooped we almost almost get off at the Swan and walk to the Boardwalk since that almost always is faster than the bus ride around.

Going to the parks it can be a toss up depending on how full the buses are. Sometimes the bus will be filled at its first stop, so they will just dispatch one to the next place it was supposed to go. When you are making return trips though you will most likely stop at each resort. What order that goes in though, I'm not sure.

If I recall correctly on the way back from MK it's the only park where the routes are separated with the exception of Swan & Dolphin which are together. On the way their, it really depends on the time of day you are going.
