Transportation out of Coronado Springs

I was able to upgrade from the AoA to the Coronado Springs thanks to the 30% off and I have a question about the transportation.
I will get there and park my car and not bother it until it's time to leave.
That being said, last time I stayed at the All Star Movies and the bus would stop at all 3 All Star Resorts so the buses were packed full.
Does the Coronado have its own bus to the parks and water parks or is it shared with another resort?

So unrelated question: when I book my room do they somewhat assign an area in the resort where they will put me, the casitas, cabanas or ranchos?
If not, can I request a spot?

Stayed at Coronado for 12 days around the Xmas and New Year's holidays. No problem with overcrowded buses at the resort. Once we had to wait for a second bus leaving Epcot after illuminations, but every other time, the first bus did it. CS doesn't share with any other hotel, and it's location makes the bus trips pretty short to every park but MK, and even that one is not too bad.

As for locations in the resort, over half the rooms are in the Casitas section, so that's the most likely. If you want something else, request and see what happens. We were in Casitas 5 -- farthest Casita area from El Centro, but closest to the Dig Site. Worked fine for us.

One thing about the "Park my car and leave it" plan. If you are planning to visit other hotels for a meal or anything else, drive. So much quicker.

I read that the Casitas is the most adult like area and quieter...I will have my son with me and don't want him bored or bothering people. The cabanas area looked nice, close to the front and close to the pools.

Casitas is more dense, and therefore louder. Cabanas a bit quieter, I think, and there are some hammocks along the lake/pond over there, which I liked. I like Cabanas better, but depending on where your room is, it won't necessarily be close to El Centro. Indeed, it's almost impossible to be close to both the Dig Site and El Centro, since there are on opposite sides of the little lake/pond. Not to worry -- nothing is more than a 4 minute walk or so.

As for your son, he'll neither be bored nor will he bother anybody, as long as he doesn't wander into the conference center.

I've stayed at the Casitas and never found it to be loud. I liked the architecture and gardens and fountains. I stayed at the Cabanas in July in building 8B. We were right next to the dig site pool which had some noise but was quiet at night. Walking to El Centro was fairly short.

We stayed at CSR during this past Christmas. The resort will try to accommodate your building request. I requested building 4 (Casitas) and the registration staff made a good effort to accomplish that when I checked in. Casitas 4 is nearest to bus stop 2. Bus stop 2 is the first stop made by all CSR buses when transporting people to the parks. That's why I chose building 4. Oftentimes, the buses were so full in the morning that they didn't even get to stop 4 or 1 before heading to the parks. The bus service at CSR was, generally speaking, pretty OK except for the early morning MK buses. The first MK bus was consistently late. CSR is a very nice resort.

We stayed several times at CSR, and usually got Cabanas as we requested. Once we were put in Ranchos, but even then things worked out well: they moved us to a VIP suite in Casitas after a couple of days, due to some unexplained maintenance issue.
