Transformations

People are obviously up in arms about the possible transformation of Epcot. Was this also the case for New Tomorrowland? I remember going to MK and thinking how ugly Tomorrowland was, but I was under 7 all the times. I remember they had white walls leading only to Space Mountain and a few other eateries like a maze. Now it looks great and lots agree.

So, did people hate the redo of Tomorrowland? If Tomorrowland turned out nicely, why doesn't anyone believe that the new Epcot will be nice? In the redo of Tomorrowland, they kept the magic and nostalgic factors after making the change. Change is necessary to maintain fresh.

I agree that change is often necessary. The new look for Epcot will be very different, there's no doubt about that, but I think that it is a different that will grow on people.

i agree that if it does infact turn out nicely everyone will be happy and what not but i feel that chaning SE to i believe "Time Racers" will change Epcot in a bad way....its like taking out Haunted Mansion or Jungle Cruise out of the Magic Kingdom

I think that Epcot is still caught up with time it opened in 1982, with the exception of Test Track and the new Mission Space.

We need an Epcot that is fitting to our time...the future doesn't look like they put it anymore.

I vote for a new Epcot for the new generation of technology and such.

That is a really good analogy. I actually didn't know that Tomorrowland was changing until the next time I went... it was changed! So I was kind of forced into accepting it. It looked so good that I accepted it right away. I am actually one of the few who thinks that Project Gemini (in it's "current" state) looks pretty good!

I realized something. When Horizons first closed, all I could find was how much it was a trajedy and how we had to save it. Now those voices are fading and all I can find are threads about how cool Mission: Space will be and how people wish it will open soon. I think that when many of Project Gemini's projects begin, they will be met with criticism, but after people experiance it or even get into the nitty gritty, they will warm up to it.
