Transfer question

What are the requirements to put in for transfer or cross training? I've heard six months and three months. Are there any eligibility requirements other than how long I've been hired?

Also EHH. I saw you can pick up shifts you AREN'T qualified for if you agree to take the classes beforehand. If i do that, to I just show up at Disney University? Some things still aren't quite clear to me.

Oh! And anyone work in attractions? I was thinking a transfer to that would be cool but I've heard that can be stressful. What's that like?

Thanks! :)

Some of them do require a minimum of 6 months in your current role. You also need to make sure your record card is pretty clean in regards to points/reprimands.

I did pick up a few food & beverage shifts through EHH. I took a training course on the Hub for those.

And I, too, am curious to hear what Attractions is like. :)

with attractions, it is up to the management and when they put up cross training sign up sheets. Sometimes they don't want to cross train you until you are familiar with your area. Or the need for people in other areas. Just depends on where you are.

Also if it a position higher than the current on you have, then the 6 months do not apply. For instance, I got Front Desk 2 months after I transferred to Merchandise.
