I've seen the new pictures of the train station refurb. and I was wondering if you can still get on/off at the Main Street station while all this is going on? Are they still doing the Magic Kingdom opening show too?

Yup the Train Station is still "Fully Operational"... you can board the train there if you can find your way around the great rehab wall of Main Street. The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show still takes place 6 days a week on the front balcony of the station. You will notice though that the railings along that edge of the station have grown and are about 8 inches higher and now match the stations ironwork designs.

Half of the Town Square balcony is also still open for parade (though the altered parade route impedes this), and fireworks viewing.

The Train Station rehab is supposed to be done around December 20th. The sidewalk project will be done is different phases, this first one should be done early in October.

Which 6 days a week does the show run? I HAVE to see that show every trip, otherwise my visit isn't complete. I was planning on seeing it this coming Monday morning... please tell me it's running then????

It runs everyday except for when the park opens early for EMH.
