There's actually a song called "Tragic Kingdom" on that album... and it's supposedly about Disneyland (well, I'm assuming DL since the people in the band are from Anaheim). These lyrics might be a little off, I just copied them from a lyrics engine site.

Once was a magical place
Over time it was lost
Price increased the cost
Now the fortune of the kingdom
Is locked up in its dungeon vaults
The castle floor lies in traps
With coiled wires set back
Decoyed by old cheese
Now the drawbridge has been lifted
As the millions
They drop to their knees

They pay homage to a king
Whose dreams are buried
In their minds
His tears are frozen stiff
Icicles drip from his eyes

The cold wind blows as it snows
On those who fight to get in
On heads that are small
Disillusioned as they enter
They're unaware what's
Behind castle walls
But now it's written in stone
The king has been overthrown
By jesterly fools
And the power of the people
Shall come to believe they do rule

They pay homage to a king
Whose dreams are buried
In their minds
His tears are frozen stiff
Icicles drip from his eyes

Welcome to the tragic kingdom
Cornfields of popcorn
Have yet to spring open

Have they lost their heads
Or are they all blind mice
We've heard all their stories
One too many times
Hypnotized by fireflies
That glow in the dark
Midgets that disguise themselves
As tiny little dwarfs
The parade that's electrical
It serves no real purpose
Just takes up a lot of room
Just to impress us

Welcome to the tragic kingdom
Cornfields of popcorn
Have yet to spring open

Supposedly? Wow, I've never heard that song before, but they're singin' about Disney, alright!

Haha, I love you for knowing that song is about Disneyland. :D

If I have heard correctly, the safety spiel you hear at the beginning of the song is from the Matterhorn. The spiel has probably changed by now; the Tragic Kingdom album came out.. oh, it seems like forever ago. But that's what I heard.

Now I want to go to Disneyland! *looks hopefully toward 2005*

The scariest thing in that article was the idea of a Newscorp exec replacing Eisner, or worse, being acquired by Comcast.

I'm not so sure that its really right to blame Eisner for all the problems. A lot of Disney's business has been affected by the economic drop and the terrorism threats, things that are outside the scope of anyone's control.

Although if there is one part of Disney that is seriously lacking, I think it would have to be in the tv department. The only show I watch on ABC now is "Whose Line?", and everytime I pass the Disney Channel, they have some version of a weird sitcom on. What happened to the Disney Channel I used to watch as a kid?

I thought I heard that ABC is bringing back TGIF, so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Anyway, as long as Comcast doesn't get their hands in the pot I think things will turn out all right. I don't know about anywhere else, but here they do a horrible job of running our cable.

Well, thats my two cents.

Can you imagine the parks going out every time it rains?
