Traffic Advisory: I-4 Closed in Lakeland this Weekend 3/28-3/29

Hey Tampa friends: This is NOT the weekend to come to the mouse.

I-4 will be closed due to CSX trackwork on an overpass.

im driving up I4 east from tampa on saturday..i should be ok right?

the site has conflicting dates on east /west shutdown

Thats correct. One day EB, one day WB. Screwed no matter what.

I saw that yesterday and was like 'what the heck?' Sucks...but what can you do?

Actually, if that's the case, get off on Memorial(exit 28) and take that down through Auburndale and get back on I-4 there, or get on the Polk Parkway(tollway) right before Auburndale. Probably going to be the only way to get around it without a serious delay.

memorial to Florida ave would save you about 20 minutes.

ill be coming in from the turnpike to 429, so i wont have to deal with i4 this trip (staying at Sports) i get off shy of the i4 - 429 interchange with the Publix.
