Has anyone traveled with trading pins lately? If so, did you carry them on or pack them in your checked bag? If you carried them on, did TSA give you any problems? Thanks.
I can say that I just did this like 2 weeks ago! I put them in a large ziplock bag where thery could be seen and then put them in a zip pouch of my bag and had no problems! But what they did take from me was the head to my razor, they left me the handle but took the head...:ROFLOL:
It was in my checked luggage and this is my razor...As for the razor thing, I'm not really sure I understand what type of razor you're refering to, but FYI...disposable razors are fine through security, but the razors with the actual razor blade that can be removed are not allowed. The razor itself is, but the blade inside is not. Usually, we'll just remove the razor blade and let the passenger have the razor, but that's being nice and as you're well aware there are many not nice TSA officers out there. Really we could just take the whole thing and I know quite a few officers who won't do you any favors, especially if you give them an attitude. I would suggest next time, if you must carry a razor in your carry on, make it a disposable or electric or pack it in your checked luggage.

and they took the razor refill which was not attached but in the plastic refill containter it comes in and left me the handle...
That's what my friend and I were saying when we got to the hotel it was like umm of all the things to steal out of my bag that seems like probably the stupidest. And I had no idea I could take a razor like that through, thanks...:wave:In that case, I'm not sure what happened. There was no reason for this to be taken in checked baggage. However, if your checked baggage was searched, it's possible these items could have fallen out during the search. Unfortunately, it happens quite often. I find socks, hair brushes, deorderant sticks, etc... under machines and inbetween tables all the time in baggage. Sometimes when bags are overstuffed they have that jack in a box effect when we open them and things go flying all over the place, or while unpacking or repacking a bag an item might fall off the table without the officer noticing. Also, TSA is only responsible for your checked baggage for maybe 10 minutes after you drop it off. Once it is cleared we turn it over to the airline, so it's in the possession of baggage handlers and airline workers after that. I have no clue what happened to your razor, but it seems really stupid to steal a razor like that. BTW, you could take a razor like that through the checkpoint.
