I've always wanted to try this place out, but never got around to it. I'm considering it for our arrival day on our upcoming trip.

I notice they only list "appetizers" on the menu. I usually find entree portions at Disney restaurants too large, so are the appetizers sizes here sufficient for a full meal?

I don't drink either, so won't be ordering any specialty alcoholic beverages.

The appetizers can make a full meal. The pupu platter has a nice variety, and it includes my favorite the Chinese long beans. Some of the specialty drinks can be made non-alcoholic and they have a few on the menu that already are non-alcoholic.

The appetizers are shareable size for the table, and you could easily make a meal of them by ordering two or three options and sharing. And order another round if the first round wasn't enough food.

I have such mixed emotions about Trader Sam's because it's such a wonderfully Imagineered little space, but it's often let down by it's very poor management and sloppy CM operation. I stopped going pre-Covid after one too many sloppy CM's and carelessly managed visits there.

But... if you can get a CM who is at least mediocre at their job (which is about as good as it gets there), it can be a fun spot to focus on the decor and the company at your table. Order one of those big shareable drinks with multiple straws and a few appetizers, and it's a fun way to spend an hour or two!
