Toy story mania question

Sorry if this has been answered but I’m a little confused. (Doesn’t take much) my family and I are headed down on may 5th-12th, my kids are huge toy story fans, (yes I know “land” won’t be open yet) I herd something that they might be shutting down toy story mania for a bit for the opening of toy story land. Is this true? Will we not be able to go there, or is our dates fine? Just trying to plan a little more so my children can get in there. Thank you for your time.

Yes the ride will be open but there will be no fastpasses. All guests will wait in the standby line, which may be lengthy since only one of the three tracks will be operating.
