Tower of Terror

A friend just told me he was on the WDW site planning for his upcoming trip and noticed that Tower of Terror was closed. I can't find it anywhere though. Is this true?

Temporarily closed is the only closed that I can think of. It's not scheduled for an upcoming refurb

Sure they didn't mistakingly see something about Disneylands being closed and though it was WDW? People confuse the two all the time. Lol

The park site doesn't say it's closed. Maybe your friend mixed it up with DL's Tower, or there was just a temporary closure when they looked for some minor reason? Something they had to fix that didn't warrant a full refurb? I don't know if it would be listed as closed if they shut it down for a little bit because of a medical emergency.

And some articles I read about it don't make a very strong distinction between the two.. like the one in CA is the only one that matters.. along the same line.. I read an article about the change of the Disney Jr show and it was almost a throwaway line at the very bottom of the article that said it was DL only, and other sites that have the show aren't changing at this time..

Update: if you google it, the first google result that pops up does look quite official and says the Orlando Tower of Terror is permenantly closed. Google seemed to mix it up with Disney land!
