Tourist Injured Entering Universal's Revenge Of Mummy Ride

A tourist at Universal Studios Orlando was injured Wednesday while attempting to board the Revenge of the Mummy ride, according to Local 6 News.

Local 6 News reported that a tourist fell about four feet while attempting to enter the front seat of a stationary car.

The guest was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Condition in fair condition.

Park officials said they are investigating the incident.

How on earth did someone manage to do that? There's a plastic guard attached to the station gate that prevents anyone from going anywhere but onto the vehicle.

I'm trying to think of how it could possible happen. Who knows people like to look at things and not look at where they're walking. :confused:

I just heard on the news that this person died soon after the fall. They said he hit his head hard when he fell. I'll get a link to the story.

I read the link, and it's sooo very sad... I'm not seeing where it mentions he was in a wheelchair though... non the less... it was a tragedy... my heart goes out to his family.

That's so sad. I still don't understand how he managed to get in front of the ride car without any of the employees noticing him though. I remember there being a LOT of employees at the boarding area. In fact, I specifically remember one standing at the top of the car to make sure people didn't go any further than the first row. What a tragedy.
