I know the DDP will cost me $51.54 per night. Of course the price of the meal is covered and I will be given the opportunity to pay a gratutity. What about tax? Will I owe that also or is it included in my DDP $51.54? Thanks for any responses.

When I used it, tax was included... just not the gratuity. Some places will automotically add on the tip, so you won't even get a choice on that one. I'm not sure if you can change the amount. But, I've never paid tax.

Tax is included on all items covered under the dining plan. As long as you don't order anything above and beyond what the plan covers (on table service, counter service, or snacks) the only thing you are responsible for is the gratuity at table service restaurants.

Just hand them your card and let them deduct a credit. As far as the tip the receipt will have suggestions. You can leave cash or charge it to the room if you have those privileges. Remember that some things are better to pay out of pocket for saving snack credits.

Unless otherwise specifically noted, you would have to pay tax on any out-of-pocket meals at Disney, just as you would at ANY restaurant.

Remember, although tax is included and tips are suggested, you may still adjust the tips based on service received. The only exception being if you are a party of 6 or more. In this case an 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your bill. if you do any dinner shows (Hoop De Do, Polynesian Luau, Mickey's backyard BBQ, etc., the gratuity is also included in your dining plan. Counter servicer meals require no extra money out of your pocket unless you order something not covered.
