ToT Video Screen

It's been a while since I've ridden, but how do they make the image appear at the very end of the ride, before the doors open back up?

I was privileged to have the end of the ride break down (lol) and the work lights went on, that is how I saw a reflective type screen and that's why I was wondering what exactly that is...I also leaned forward to see a strobe light on the ground. That was fun.

Thanks

I can't believe nobody here knows !!

There was a web site somewhere that explained all the special effects of TOT along with the ride system. I don't remember what it was but I seem to remember that it was pretty detailed in the explanations. I've searched and can't seem to find it anywhere. :veryconfu

anyone??

I did find this, but it doesn't answer your specific question.(see post 12)

No, not quite the Pepper's Ghost, I am referring to the very end, the video that plays just before the elevator doors open for you to exit..

I think that the scene utilizes P'sGE with a projector and a piece of plexiglass in front of a starfield. Doesn't the video appear in a starfield? I can't remember.

Last time I rode the ToT, one of my friends pointed out that the StarField actually continues into your elevator. Look around and there will be stars in the cab. I love the little details :)

You are so right , in fact being one who is always looking at places that aren't necessarily the focus of the ride at the moment, I actually noticed the stars in the elevator before the ones in front the first time I rode.

I really enjoy trying to spot the little details in the rides and trying to figure out how some of the effects work. It doesn't seem to ruin the magic for me cause I think it helps me to appreciate it more. I know the last time I was riding ToT, I found out about the StarField from my friend but I also saw kinda how they do the Peppers Ghost effect. If you look really closely you can see the glass mounted at a 45 degree angle. A tip if you want to see it, look at the floor and you will see a groove at a 45 degree angle and then you can focus in on where the glass is. Very nifty effect. However, when I said I think I just figured this out, my friend was very adament about not telling how it works. Some people like to just enjoy the ride and magic, so be courteous :)
