It seems the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the latest to receive a bilingual safety spiel. All the bellhop that loads you has to do now is press a button on the newly reconfigured control panel and it plays from a speaker above you. The English voice is similar to the one used for the library door warning and unload spiels. I don't remember what the Spanish voice was like.

The spiel and the control panel are the only changes I noticed from the rehab.

So how did the attraction look and feel after the rehab? Did they fix my beloved "eye effect" in the 5th dimension room? :brick:

The ride itself seems pretty much the same as it was before the rehab (I'm talking about the Echo side of the attraction. Foxtrot is still being worked on).

By "eye effect" do you mean the one where the eye shows a picture of everyone taken during the corridor scene? If so, then nope. I was secretly hoping that it would be working again, but I can't say I'm surprised that it wasn't. It's still just the generic picture.

Yup, that's what I meant. I knew it probably wouldn't be working but I was hoping a miracle occured. It is really sad to see ride effects stop working and then WDI just dismissing and saying, "oh well, it's too difficult and annoying to keep this effect running, we'll just get rid of it." Same thing happened with the Test Track "crashing car" effect. They increased the capacity and couldn't run the effect because it wouldn't reset in time. The funny thing is, both of these effects were the best parts of the ride and they just let them go. Rehab indeed!
Speaking of rehabs... why is it that rides like Winnie the Pooh and GMR go down for months of repainting and refurb (even though they didn't look bad at all) yet Buzz Lightyear is falling into complete disrepair and no rehab is scheduled! I feel like I'm in a little kid's painted cardboard box that was accidentally left out in the rain! What ever happened to the concept of "bad show" and how Disney would do anything to stop it. Those were the days. Sigh.
