Torch Lighting Ceremony at the Poly

I have heard that there is a tiki torch lighting ceremony at the Polynesian. I have been there many times and have never heard about it.Does anyone have info on this?

I dont know about that but didn't somebody say on this forum that the torches werent lit anymore? I am going in august and I would be dissappointed if they weren't lit. Its the little things that make my vacation better.

I would appreciate if someone knew about this.

From what I have heard they are still in use,they were only off due to the construction in the pool area, and now that has been completed they are back on

The reason we are staying at the poly next month is because we got this thing in the mail that gave us a discount on rooms there. we are getting the rooms for 179 a night. So my dad called down and got the rooms. Has anyone else got something like this? if you have heard of this, is their a catch? Like having a room underground or something!!!! Just kidding.


If anyone knows about this please let me know.

Is either of your parents members of the Magic Kingdom Club (which is now called something else which escapes me at the moment)? Or do they own any shares of Disney stock? Either one of these gives you discounts on rooms, tickets and merchandise.
