Top Gun Accident!

Hello Everyone, I know this isn't exactly a RollerCoaster discussion and its getting of the subject of Disney. But my friend who goes to Kings Island all the time that lives 2minutes from the park said he was at Kings Island and he saw a Train on Top Gun running and somehow from his car he saw it go backwards over a part...

I was reading this and it had a slite accident but i cant find anything out about this, If anyone can get me any info or pics on Top Gun's Disaster i would appreciate it alot. Once again Thank you guys and sorry for getting of the subject of Disney .

I live here in the Cincinnati area, about 10 minutes from KI, and I haven't heard anything about in on the news today.

He just told me it was early in the morning when he saw it happen.

Ok, heres what happened. It was during a test run of Top Gun (which is an inverted roller coaster with swinging seats). For some reason, there was a truck parked under the track and they didn't check it, so when the train came by, some of the cars hit it and caused them to come off the track, while the rest of the train rolled backwards.

Nobody was hurt though, so thats good.

This is a little sad to me, I just rode this ride a few weeks ago.

Thanx for the Info & Sites alot. I needed to know on what happened to Top Gun, The question now is if they will temperarily close the ride, or get Vekoma to manufactuer trains for it.
