Hmm... Let's see...

Liberty Square (WDW): Home to an amazing Haunted Mansion ride, queue, and facade, Columbia Harbour House's chowder, and a great overall themed land.

Fronteirland (WDW): The home to Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, the Country Bears, the Shooting Gallery, Tom Sawyer Island, and is the second best themed land in the traditional Disneyland set.

Fantasyland (DL): The classic Fantasyland, and home to such classics as Mr. Toad and the Matterhorn.

Adventureland (DL): Adventureland is the best themed land in the traditional Disneyland set, and, while I think WDW's is better themed and secluded, Disneyland wins with Indiana Jones and the original Tiki Birds.

World Showcase (EPCOT) Wow. Just... wow. It's completely breathtaking.

Honorable Mention:
Future World (EPCOT)
Echo Lake (MGM)
Fronteirland (DLP)

I've got to put

1. Future World (if we are talking all of its incarnations and not necessarily the current one)

2. WS. It is pretty darn cool, especially during the Holidays or F&WF

3. New Orleans Square at DL.

4. One of the TDS lands. I have not travelled there, but the themeing seems second to none. I'm sure one of these woudl fill this spot nicely.

5. WDW's TL. ALthough some of the new additions are detracting, this land is my WDW childhood, so it gets the rank.

Honorable Mention:

WDW's Adventureland PRE-ALADDIN!
DL's Fantasyland
The DTD Marketplace (ok, not really a "land") but it is pretty Disney.

Magic Kingdom: Main Street, U.S.A. - This is your first taste of Disney which sets the mood for the entire experience. Without a doubt, the most important land.

Disney/MGM Studios: Sunset Boulevard - With Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Rollercoaster, improvisional street actors, and the 30's background music, it's just an interesting place to spend time in.

EPCOT: World Showcase - For all of the previously posted reasons. There's not much that can top an evening stroll through this area after dinner and the fireworks show. The path between the United Kingdom and France that leads to the Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk Resorts is a beautiful bonus.

Magic Kingdom: Frontierland - It's got Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!!!

Magic Kingdom: Liberty Square - The Haunted Mansion. 'Nuff said.

I'll take that "world wide" part seriously...

1. Discoveryland (DLP) - What all "Tomorrowland" lands should be. Beautiful.

2. Mysterious Island (TDS) - Just stunning.

3. Adventureland (DL) - The best Adventureland. A single, consistant theme, and great rides. WDW's is trying to do too much.

4. New Orleans Square (DL) - Classic. Makes Liberty Square look sad.

5. Frontierland (DLP) - Huge, well themed...and Big Thunder on an island.

Main Street U.S.A. -- As stated by Scott, it really does set the mood for the parks. Right when you enter and hear the trains whistle, smell of popcorn and see the sights that is Main Street it just takes your breath away.

Pick a TDS land -- Never been there, but it appears to have the best themeing and some of the best attractions Disney has created.

World Showcase -- Same reasons stated above.

Tie(Asia/Africa) AK -- While both these lands don't have an abundance of attractions, they are some of the best themed lands I have ever seen, especially now that we can see the detail going into Everest. Africa houses one of Disney's greatest attractions (KS) and the Pangani Forest trail is awesome. Asia will have Everest when it opens, KRR is great on a hot day, and the Maharaja Jungle trek is probobly my favorite(tigers are bad @$$).

Tomorrowland (WDW) -- While I hated it when it first opened, it has seriously grown on me. I in no way support the character invasion, but Buzz has proven to be a great attraction, Space Mountain is a classic, and the TTA, TK(when it's open) and CoP are must do's. The future that never was theme I now think is very cool.

EDIT: It's hard to pick because I know there are excellent lands elsewhere in the world, but I haven't been to any resort outside of WDW.

If you're refering to my post, allow me to first say that I find your remark offensive. But, if you feel it necessary to put other people down in an effort to help feel better about yourself, I hope that your confidence and self esteem are in much better shape now. I am glad that I could help in some way.

Secondly, I feel that I can only comment on the parks that I've actually visited. If you feel that it's alright to comment on a place that you've never been to, that's your perogative, not mine. Better yet, if you've actually been to Orlando, Anaheim, Paris, and Tokyo that's great. We all wish that we were the seasoned traveler that you are.

Regardless, keep your ignorant comments to yourself. They're not welcome or appreciated.

I think you may have blown Lee's comment out of proportion just a little bit, I seriously doubt he intended it to be an insulting remark.

Wow, that's a tough one.

Well, mine would be:
1. Main Street USA
2. Frontierland (especially after dark)
3. Futureworld
4. Fantasyland
5. Hollywood Boulevard

Thanks Goofyfan13. If that is truly the case, then I apologize to Lee for missinterpreting his comment.

1) New Orleans Square (Disneyland) - It's my favorite land in any of the parks. It has so much atmosphere during the day, and has 2 of the best attractions in the park. At night, there is so much excitement in the area while waiting for Fantasmic to start.

2) Main Street USA (Disneyland) - Disneyland's MainStreet is awesome when compared with WDW's. The shops were small and cozy, and actually sold shop specific merchandise. The Magic Shop sold magic stuff etc. At WDW, the merchandise is the same everywhere.

3) DinoLand USA - It's all in the details. While I'm not too crazy over DinoRama, I understand their intentions, and when you really step back and look at it, it fits in quite nicely. Has anyone ever been able to find the Epcot advertisement hiding in Dinoland?

4) Asia (AK) - (Breaking away from the USA theme lol) I really like Asia again, because of the details. There is alot of stuff to see there.

5) World Showcase - There is a certain feeling I get showing up a few hours before Illuminations and walking around World Showcase with friends. With everyone standing around the lake, all watching Illuminations, you just feel like you are all connected.

Jeez!
I've never had a post taken MORE wrong!

All I meant was that I was going to choose from parks "world wide" like the title of the thread indicated, not just the US parks. Nobody else had chosen outside the US, and there was no stipulation that we had to choose from parks we had been to, so I wasn't sure that those other parks were fair game. Your post just happened to come before mine, and had nothing to do with what I wrote.

No offense was intended at all, in that post or any other of the couple thousand I have made on this site. In fact, if you check around you won't find anyone who will say I have EVER made an offensive post or "ignorant comment." Have a little more patience, and don't jump to conclusions.

Thanks.

Lee,

I had clearly missinterpreted your post. I had certainly jumped the gun and had unjustly directed ignorant, baseless comments towards you.

Please accept my most sincere and humble apology. I have no excuse for reacting in the manner in which I did.

Maybe it's because I haven't been to WDW since May '01! I think that a Disney fix is in order! :D

Once again, I am sorry for my irrational response.

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand what you're saying here. Would you please explain this statement?

Thanks, Scott
