Too late for discount package?

So I just looked at Disney's website and they have a "end of the summer" deal going on where between late August and September you can get $69.00 (value) resort rooms. Ironically enough I am going August 18th to 26th (which qualifies) and did not get this rate. I bought the package near the end of May, but would have waited if I would've known this deal would have come up.

Is there anyway I can try to apply for the discount or get a reimbursement of the money I didn't need to spend? I'm guessing Im probably screwed, but I meet the criteria and had no idea waiting closer to time would get me a better deal.

Hi - this is a simple one! Call Disney back, tell them to see if there is a discount available for your specific dates at your resort, give them any codes that may be posted, and they will adjust your "bill" and make adjustments! I have done that in the past, the cast is very accomodating. Good luck!

ALL Disney promotions allocate a certain number of rooms for each promotion/discount. Once that allocation is gone, there is nothing you can do (except maybe keep calling back and hope for a cancellation, depending on the promotion).

The wording on MouseSavers.com explains it like this:

"Discount codes must be thought of as a "clearance sale" -- if you want the discount, you have to be willing to take what's left over! It's important to be flexible with both dates and hotels, and to be persistent in calling back periodically to see if anything has opened up."

Yep, that exactly what I did. I called the week of the 4th when I found out about the promotion (got the code from Mousesavers, but it's also on Disney's website). Talked with a castmember to see if they could apply it to our reservation. All we had to do was go two rooms vs. a family suite at the ASMu and we saved $300 on our package. My in-laws who are staying at the contemporary and saved almost $500. But as mentioned, there is only a certain number rooms at different resorts, so you may or may not succeed - but it never hurts to call to see! Good luck!

We have a package for our trip in August with free dining so I know no other offers are available with that. But...we are arriving late the night before (it just made sense with airfare prices/times so we didn't miss an enoter day) so I booked us a room only. Well, I came across the offer while searching for something else and called Disney. It was available and they did apply the discount and I now have a credit of $15 for the one night applied to my room. Hey, it's $15...a light breakfast at the food court. This was only a week agao. It stinks that they are all taken.

We just booked a week ago today with that code and got into the pop at $69. It was kind of the spur of the moment idea when I saw that deal, too good to pass up. The only bad thing it is a week right before school starts (I'm a teacher) so I don't want to do my traditional Disney countdown because I don't want to countdown my whole summer!
