Too early to check weather? LOL

I'm just a little over 2 weeks out from our trip. I know I won't get a super accurate forecast right now, but is it early enough to tell that there at least won't be any hurricanes/severe weather in 2 weeks?

I think you can ballpark it at this point. I like to use the 15 day forecast from accuweather.com. Sure there will be some changes but at least you can get an idea of temperature, rain, etc.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Yes I agree I use Accuweather for their 15 day forecast. But it will change 100 times before you go! Lol but basically expect hot temps and rain showers every afternoon which is normal for Florida at this time. Hurricanes/tropical storms etc you will just have to keep up and watch about those. They can form very quickly and change often as well. We live in south Louisiana so we deal with all these same issues durning the summer/early fall months. :)

Ditto. Check the forecast for a general idea but understand that it can and will change frequently.

On my family's last two trips (one in October and one in May), the forecast on the day we left predicted rain/thundershowers for for first 2-3 days of our trip. Both times, we saw nary a drop of rain and the only times it ever rained, we were inside attractions and didn't even know it until we emerged and saw that the ground was damp. Was it the temperamental Florida climes, or the prayers I said on the way down? I suppose it depends on what you believe. :)

(I should add, however, that the temperature predictions, e.g., average daily high/low, were spot on for both trips, which helped immensely in deciding what to pack. Only the precipitation forecasts were off.)

Too far out for hurricanes. Hurricane forecasting (where it will hit isn't very good) You can have a general idea of the area it is expected to be 3-5 days out with what they call the cone of uncertainty (in Florida we call it the cone of death) but that's about as good as you're going to get. You're weather will basically be hot and humid. Typical summer/late summer weather pattern is hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms which generally don't last too long. Sometimes there is a pattern where it can be rainy for a few days, but you'll have to wait til you're closer.

Thanks everyone! I'm a Floridian, so I'm used to the hot, humid rainy Summer weather. I'm just worried that severe weather like a tropical storm or hurricane could ruin my trip. But I'm a worrier lol!
