Too close to trip?

We've always been last minute planners... We were considering booking a resort stay for next weekend. Do you think we would get magic bands sent to us or is it too close to the time of stay???

We've always been last minute "hey let's go to Disney!" people, so the last couple times we went last year we didn't get them (as APholders).

This is my understanding: You can customize your bands up until 10 days before check-in and have them shipped to you. Bands customized between 9-5 days before can be picked up at check-in. If you're unable to customize at least 5 days before you will recive uncustomized gray bands with no names printed on them. Hope this helps! Have fun

I constantly make plans to go on the same week.. I already have bands.. but you can pick them up at check in as others have stated. If you decide later that you want bands that are colored you can customize them online and have them shipped at your convenience.

Last time I decided on Thursday that we were going that weekend (AP holder as well) and called the reservation number and ended up getting a moderate for the price they were advertising values at on the website.. so sometimes planning at the last minute can work to your advantage as well.

I think they just opened that up to AP holders who haven't stayed on resort since the bands came out. I got an email about it a couple weeks ago. So if he hadn't taken the time to do it yet then I can see his dilemma.

Whether or not they will get to you on time might depend on where you live as well.. I live in Tampa and got mine 2 days after I customized.
