According to www.miceage.com, it is expected to soon be announced that Disneyland's Tomorrowland will get a a "revamped" version of WDW's Buzz Lightyear attraction. Considering how popular this attraction is at the MK, I'm glad to see it coming to Disneyland.

This should be another 'new' attraction for Disneyland's 50th anniversary (the other(s) being a 'new' Space Mountain, possibly the reopening of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, a new parade and fireworks show, along with special 'remembrance' attractions designed only for the 50th.)

Um, the only 20K attraction at Disneyland was a display of some movie sets. It's just Submarine Voyage. The subs are plain, not themed like the Nautilus. It's still great that they're bringing them back!

Oops, sorry. I never rode the subs at Disneyland before they closed and i just assumed they were themed to 20K like at the MK. :)

No sweat. Actually, I'm wondering whether they're going to change the appearance of the subs at all when they reopen. They used to be this bright yellow color that really stood out. It might be neat for them to get some sort of futuristic paint job. (Or, of course, just restore them to their original look, as part of a tribute to DL's 50th.)

So I guess Buzz will be going into the Circle Vision area? Maybe the entire People Mover ride could be converted - now that would be cool - but I guess too much of the ride is outside.

I'd like to see the subs get a different color scheme. the Explorer Yellow was ok - but would be really out of place in the new color scheme. They should take this opportunity to go for a faded copper color or something.

An honorable as the intention is, it probably won't happen. The subs will, but Buzz will be scrapped, because Rasulo openly states that he HATES ride copying across park. Furthermore, Al Lutz in my opinion is not credible on this subject. First, he assured us that Circle Vision would be reopening in a matter of weeks, then the new ride would definately be Stich's Alien Encounter, and now this. I am usually supportive of Al, but not on this subject.

On a similar note, we are expecting a new Disneyland historical exhibit in the former Starcade space. An now that Innoventions sponsors are disappearing, the new ride may very well go in that space. Personally, i'd love to see Carousel of Progress back where it really belongs.

The subs were grey before they were yellow, so maybe they'll restore them to grey. I'm excited to have Buzz come to DL as it is a great repeateable attraction.
