Now.. I thought that they were eventually removing the stage. I thought I also heard that they would soup it up a bit before they did. Well, I snapped this pic today. Anyone know what the real deal is? Is the the soup-up? Or is there a show coming in soon that needs all that new lighting and other equipment?

Real Reason

This is going to be used for Disney's Grad Night 2004. Other structures can be found in Adventureland and on the Castle Forecourt Stage.

Ah.. didn't realize that was already this coming weekend! Thanks for the info. I noticed the huge setup in front of the castle too, but it didn't make too big an impression because the "surprise celebration" was going on. I thought it wasn't there before, but I figured my memory was going :).

I remember when I graduated from Barron Collier High School in Naples, FL back in 1992 and I went to Grad Night. It was ok, but just the idea of dressing up and following dress code for Grad Night made the night miserable. :(

yeah its always wired to see how they dress the parks up like this for these events. Night of Joy was the same way.

Whats very interesting is that this year there will not be as strict as a dress code as previous years (i.e. you can wear jeans). Also, this year's entertainments options are Recording Artists Simple Plan, Stacie Orrico (From NOJ 2003), and Monica.

:D Nice to see the stage is going to be used. Every time we are at Disney we never see the stage used for anything.

It would be nice if they used it for/on regular days like they used to---- The park would be open "LATE" 12 -2- AM Shows and all sorts of good things-- Oh the ole days hummm:lol:
