When I went to Disney.com, I looked at the theme park section and and couldn't help noticing that the Tomorrowland area of Tokyo Disneyland was dated and had not been remodeled!
So here are my ideas to remodel it.:sohappy: The enterance to Tomorrowland from the hub will have a large fountain similar to the fountian at Epcot. Coplete with music that water dances to. Baisicly the buildings around you will have their Sci-fi space port futeristic look. The central icon for Tomorrowland will be the traditional Asto Orbiter ride, but its look will be a combination of the Astro Orbter at Disney World, the Orbitron at Disneyland Paris, and the Observatron at Disneyland California. Space Mountain will get a face lift on the inside and outside.
The rides which already exisist how they'll change:
Rocket Jets: they'll change to Astro Orbiter, get face-lift (see above) and be relocated to the central hub of Tomorrowland
Space Mountian: will have a face-lift on the out-side as well as the inside (I'll explain more tomorrow)
Star Tours: will get a face lift also (explain tomorrow)
Micro Adventure!: also known as Honey, I Shrunk the Audience will stay the same.
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway: will change to the Autopia and poeple will drive futeristic cars around a futeristic corse passing futeristic scenery and fun things like hitch hiking robots.
New Rides: (I'll explain about them Tomorrow)
Timemaster (instead of Timekeeper)
Alien Encounter (still the same)
Innoventions (still the same)
I'm going to add more things later, but please tell me your opinions and ideas. I'd appriciate it!

BORN IN THE USA!

In my opinion...(and it COULD just be the Egg Nog talking).....

Any improvement ideas should start with spending the money right here in this country to return our parks to their intended states of glory.

Also, for National Security reasons, I propose we let Tokyo think that what they see at Tokyo Disney really IS what the future looks like!!

What they don't know can't hurt them! :D

More Ideas!

:) I've got some more neat ideas for Tomorrowland themed area face-lift in Tokyo!

Space Mountain: As I said before, Space Mountain would have a new color scheme on the out-side. On the inside, the ride would be much different. The story is that you're going from Earth to Space Port 8. The way you get there is unique. Instead of going up an encredebly slow crank through a lame tunnel, your coaster viecles launch up the shaft very quickly thanks to magnetic propulsion systems and as you go up at high speeds, lights and special effects flash around you as you are "Cosmeticly Beamed out of the Earth's atmosphere." when you're "in space" you go down a couple of dips and into "light speed." But then, loud explosions erupt and your ship spins out of hyper space and through a couple loops. It appaers that you've hit some meteors and mission control can't control your ship any more! You fly out of control for a couple minuits and into a worm hole! You spin and spin until mission control finaly regains control of the ship and you blast out of the worm hole to safety. Then mission control aborts the mission and sends you back to Earth for "Technical Difficultires." Mean while after the ride, why don't you stop by at stellar sweets for some tastey snacks?

Star Tours: (Please see Star Tours 2 ideas poll)

Alien Encounter: It will be in one of the buildings.

Innoventions: It will be located in the old Tomorrowland theater.

Pretty cool huh? Please tell me your ideas and please like this! :D

Well it would certaintly be an improvment over the current tommorowland there, and I like some of your ideas for re-habing SM, it seems kinda like the Paris model though. Also I am not a real fan of Innoventions in Tommorwland as it's supposed to be "real-science" and Tommrowland is supposed to be "science fiction". Also personally I don't like Alein Encounter, but that is just me, I personally think that there should be some sort of a ride element added.

While this would be an improvment, you seem to have done a lot of re-habs on and/or simply transplanted exsisting attractions. Which is not bad, personally I would try to add one or two new and unique attractions

I posted my ideas for a Tommorowland @ MK re-hab a while ago which can be found here:

I looked at your Magic Kingdom rehab thing, and I liked alot of your ideas especialy the Cosmic Highway. I like the name and the ideas for cenery and electric cars are just what I was thinking!
Although I'm keeping Alien Encounter the same (It's my favortie ride) despite your ideas, Changing cenery for Buzzlight year would be good (I'm adding Buzz Lightyear to the cast of rides now). You were right about Innoventions in Tomorrowland, and I don't know if I'm going to keep it or not. More controls to Astro Orbiter should be added so you can bank, turn, etc. I have some new ideas to enhance The Time Master (The Time Keeper) which I'll post later. Well that's about all for now.

 Thanks Figment Dream for your ideas and suggestions!!!

More Ideas!!!!!

Some of my new ideas for Tomorrowland in Tokyo are to add a Tomorrowland Transit Authority there. The trains would look more futeristic and when they go through buildings, they would pass scenes of weird advetisments and billbords for weird alien products and some would have alien writing on them.

The Time Master: (Tell me if you'd rather have the name Time Master or Time keeper because the ride will be different) I have an idea to improve it and make it more exiting. It will be a combo of the original Time Keeper and Dinosaur, but have the same technology as Spiderman. I still need to develope the story line, so I'll explain more later. But in the mean time, please tell me your ideas and thoughts! Thanks!:animwink:

First, coming from the biggest Tokyo fan on this board, those buildings cannot hold a Transit Authority type ride. They are simply too dated and it would cost major money tearing down the buildings (the ones with the ride at least). Not to mention, their buildings are layed out so that it would be pretty hard to cram a ride thru any of them, even Space Mountain.

Second, Timekeeper is already being replaced by Buzz Lightyears AstroBlasters! opening in April of 2004. I forget the date. So, I would consider throwing that idea out the window or throwing it in another park.

Third, moving their Rocket Jets or whatever it is called (slipped my mind) would be next to impossible. There is no space to move it where you want to. It's not feasibly possible. If you've been in their Tomorrowland, you'd know, it's not possible. Great ideas, but many simply do not work or are just not Tokyo Disney Resort quality.

Don't get me wrong. I like what you're doing, but you seriously need to get more planned out and made feasible and be willing to take suggestions if you want this to work. Now, Tokyo's Tomorrowland (IMHO) is great the way it is. Try fixing Disneyland's. There's a challenge.

Also, to get some ideas on how to post a more commentable idea and stuff like that. Search the Imagineering board for my posts. That's how you shuld present an idea to get more replies and better suggestions. Keep trying! - The WeirdOne :D

I'm not planning to tear any of the buildings there down. I want the buildings to get a make-over on the outside, add new rides and shops on the inside, and in Space Mountain's case, I'm just making it look more futerisic and Sci-Fi-ish over the plain white outside and making a new roller coaster on the inside. And I've just diceded not to add a TTA. I did not also say any thing about rocket jets. It's not like I'm going to tear all of the buildings down and rebuild them over again with a futeristic look on them! I just don't see how Tomorrowland in Tokyo looks good the way it is! If you havn't noticed, it has 70s architecture galore! Plus, it's dated!!!! I have gone to Disney's official site and they have an explore the theme parks thingemabob and I have seen pictures of Tokyo Disneyland and Tomorrowland. They have close up pictures of the buildings and they look awful! 70s architecture!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry if I have offended you.

 plus, are you saying that the time keeper in WDW is getting the Buzz Lightyear makeover? I didn't get what you said there.

First, Tokyo's Visionarium closed on September 1st, 2002, to be remade in Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters! which I think is a horrid idea.

Second, In order to do extensive work to many of the buildings like you plan, ou would need to either tear them down or make such a modified ride, it would need to be replaced anyways.

Third, you cannot change their Space Mountain, that would definately require you to tear down their building because the way you want it, the building would not be able to handle structurally.

Remember this...

"Rocket Jets: they'll change to Astro Orbiter, get face-lift (see above) and be relocated to the central hub of Tomorrowland"

That's impossible. You cannot relocate this ride. A) There is not enough space. B) It is not feasibly possible.

Lastly, it's not 70's. Last time I checked, Tokyo Disneyland was built in 1983. Not, in the 70's. The architecture is 1980's white style of Tomorrowland at the time and to be honest, looks a lot better than any of the other Tomorrowlands. Being at a site does not compare to visiting the real thing. Try it and see how different Tomorrowland looks then. The only thing I want truely changed is the Star Tours facade out front. NOW IS THAT UGLY! YUCK!

Sorry if I sound brash, but seriously need to look at stuff the other way and read more carefully. It's all in simple high school level English. - The WeirdOne :D

Okay, I messed up a little on this. I said that I didn't say anything about Rockett Jets because I thought you were talking about Rockett Rods instead of Rockett Jets:confused: AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
I'm so confused! But anyway, what I meant by relocating Rockett Jets (not rods) was tearing down the ride (Rockett Jets) its self and maybe put a small snack stand in its place, and build the new astro orbiter in the central hub section of the park!!! (Panting) Okay, that's better.

About Space Mountain: As I said before it will get a make-over on the out side (new colors, futeristic features, etc.) The roller coaster on the inside will be teared down, exept the shaft that the cars go up on the lame chain. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is on! I'll continue in a couple of hours!!!

Continuing

Okay, they'll leave the shaft that the trains go up slowley pulled by a chain. Instead of having a chain pull the cars up, the cars will lauch up the shaft thanks to magnetic propulsion systems. Lights and special effects will flash around you give you the feeling that you are being "Cyberneticly Beamed" out of the Earth's atmosphere. The rest of the ride will contian dips, loops, etc. For feeling of going into light speed the trains would go into short tunnels with steaking lights. I'm sure the Space Mountain there can have this sort of stuff.

Oh, and about the Buzz Lightyear thing, I didn't even know that the Tomorrowland in Tokyo even had a Time Keeper sort of ride so that's why I didn't get the deal about it. I still stand by what I said before, THE TOMORROWLAND IN TOKYO NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!! I know Tokyo Disneyland was built in the early eighties, but the buildings there resemble 70s architecture!!!!!

Okay, time for another reply...

Relocating Rocket Jets to the central hub of the PARK?! Don't you think that's a bit odd, blocking Cinderella Castle at Tokyo Disneyland? Isn't that also crossing lands? Not to mention, that's where the partners statue is. THE CENTRAL HUB OF THE PARK. I think you need to get your terms right. If you meant the central hub of Tomorrowland, I've been trying to tell you, it won't work. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE! Rocket Jets was placed somewhere for a reason.

Space Mountain, again, I've been telling you, the way you want it is next to impossible. If you want to tear the ride inside down, the whole buildign goes, because the Tokyo version, like the Anahiem version is built around the main support of the building, and once you tear the balance down, the whole building goes. It's not possible. Nice to dream, but not possible. Loops inside that small building would also probably break that persons neck at the high speed and tight radius they are. Hmmm...you need to rethink this a bunch. - The WeirdOne :D

Read my post above on Space Mountain. I like the new effects, but the other stuff is not possible. See above post.

Second, do a little research about the history of their Tomorrowland and see what's coming up and down. Their Visionarium closed, that's why it's not on the Official page. They are replacing it with Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters! a new ride opening 2004.

I know you stick by your statement, no need to yell. The architecture is 80's white. Trust me. It's 80's, not 70's. There is some stuff they need to change, but you need to really think about what you are doing. Not everything in WDI is fantasy. There are logistics and budget cuts and realistic stuff. Try thinking from that point of view. - The WeirdOne :D

I'm not planning to put Astro Orbter in the central hub of the entire park! I meant put it in the cental hub of TOMORROWLAND. You are right about tearing out the central structer of the space mountain, but you could just tear down THE ROLLER COASTER, the track, etc. And about loops, I guess there is no space for loops, but you could still add some corkscrews. Surely there's enough room for a couple of corkscrews. Besides, I've heard that they're doing what I'm talking about in the SM Disneyland. They're going to tear out the roller coaster on the inside and make it more trilling! I'm sorry. It's just hard to explain what I'm talking about over the computer.

Yes, and I've been trying to tell you that it won't work. The hub of Tomorrowland is so small and already causes enough traffic problems that it is simply not feasible. Rocket Jets was placed somewhere for a reason.

The rumor about Disneyland's Space Mountain is false. They can't do that and you probably can't do it in Tokyo either. To be honest, I'm positive you can't. - The WeirdOne :D

Alright, I've got this all figured out. I'll Start with the rides. This is what the new and improved Tomorrowland in Tokyo.

Rides:

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters

Micro Adventure! (aka Honey, I Shrunk the Audience)

Space Mountain (I'll explain more)

Astro Orbiter (I'll explain more)

Star Tours

Cosmic Highway (Can I use your idea Figment Dream?)

Okay, here's the deal. Space Mountain: I'm keeping the idea for going up the tunnel really fast, but leaving the rest of the roller coaster the way is was except for new special effects along the way to fit my story line. By the way, new ride viecles and updated sound track will be added to the ride.

Astro Orbiter: I still want the ride to be in the central hub of Tomorrowland, but I'll put it on a raised platform like the one in WDW. If that idea doesn't work, I'll put it to the entrance to Tomorrowland.

I still like the Time Master ride, but there's no place to put it. The old Tomorrowland theater would be a good place, but we'll see. It would also be a good Place for an Alien Encouter ride)

Shops and restauraunts: All the shops and restaurauts would be getting their personal make-over (new decorations, color scheme, etc.) if they don't already have one already.

These are the shops I will include. Some of the shops are the same as they were before and others will have different names.

Shops:

Cosmic Encouter

Planet M

Image Works

Stellar Sweets

Solar Ray's Space Stop (re-named from Solar Ray's Light Supplies)

Restuaunts:

The Intergalactic Food Port (re-named from Plaza Resturaunt)

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Caf'e (Renamed from Soft Landing)

The Deep Space Pizza Port (re-named from Pan Galactic Pizza)

The Lunch Pad (re-named from Space Place Food Port)

The Galaxy Palace Terrace (re-named from Tomorrowland Terrace)

Lite Bite Satilite

On the outside, all of the buildings will get new colors, decoartions, features, etc. Including Space Mountain. That's all for now, tell me your ideas!!!!!!!

:)
