Well, tomorrow's the BIG day--i'm going to Disneyland! Last time there was October 2002, so i'm excited to get back. We leave Palm Beach International at 9 EST, have a layover in Atlanta, and get to John Wayne at 2 PST, which is 5pm EST, and then we'll check in at our hotel (Radisson) and go to DCA and DL! I'll be there until Thursday, and expect a trip report with pictures when I return! :D :sohappy:

Oh how I wish to go to the land of Disney. However, if I ever go, it would be at least 10 years. But then Tommorowland probably would not be broken then.

Tohu Bavohu Nemo have a great time. Let us know how everything works out for you. I know this might be coming rather late to you, but best wishes. On the Matterhorn ride the left line it is supposed to be better. And the Autopia is more fun than it looks.:sohappy: :sohappy:

Hey everyone! I got back to West Palm at about midnight last night (or should I say today), so i've been home for 12 hours now, and already missing the great state of California. The weather was perfect, nice and cool. We went to DCA Sunday for a few hours (left after the Electrical Parade, but also saw the 6:15 Aladdin...first time seeing it. Now my favorite Disney stage show of them all! :D ), DL on Monday, DCA and DL Tuesday, and Knott's Berry Farm, DCA, and DL on Wednesday. Lines were not long either, I read reports on lines of 2 hours or more before I had left, but in the end, the most I waited was an hour for Splash Mountain. No lines exceeded an hour at all except for Splash, which in the daytime it had a 120 minute wait. I actually had tried getting on the boards from Innoventions, but it would only let me access the main page, where I did get to find out that the Wishes CD was coming soon! Well, i'm going to see what's been going on around the boards, and then i'll start on uploading pictures and putting up a trip report.

See ya around the boards!

W00t!! Another Aladdin fan! I can't wait to see what they put from it on the upcoming Aladdin DVD.

Glad you had a great time!! I think Splash Mountain was around 120 yesterday, too... dropped down to 90 by park close. :p But other than that, lines weren't too incredibly awful. I think Saturdays are the real nightmare days to go, so be glad you misssed that. ;)

Yeah, they really should do something for the Aladdin DVD. Put the show on it or something. The actors were just fantastic, and Genie was hillarious. I loved the Martha Stewart joke. They need to bring that show over here ASAP. Perfect replacement for something like Beauty and the Beast, or, if they're building a Hyperion-style theater over the 20K Lagoon, they should put it there.

Actually, during the "You'll Never Have A Friend Like Me" scene, when the genies are walking down the steps, the music suddenly stopped, Aladdin ran backstage, and Genie said "We'll be right back" and all of the actors left the stage. The show was then delayed for some time, about 10 minutes I think it was. They then skipped the rest of that scene and went to the next one, which was the Prince Ali scene.

By the way, we didn't see Fantasmic!. It was cold, and everyone in my family was tired, so we decided to call it a night after the Electrical Parade.

Trip report is being worked on as I speak! Check back soon! :D

I know they are putting stuff from the DCA show on the DVD - I was there the day they taped it! This was maybe 3, 4 weeks ago. They taped stuff from the show, and I'm pretty sure I read somwhere that they actually recorded one of the two DVD commentaries there. :) I'm just really curious what parts of the show they used.

I've never seen that happen! Ah, the joys of a live stage show. I have seen Aladdin (it was my HotNewAladdin, actually ;)) slip when he tried to grab the lamp, and have to duck offstage to avoid the "falling rocks"... ended up in a very forced, ad-libbed scene, but for me, that was part of the fun. ;) And I hear that the magic carpet has had an incident or two, leaving the actors dangling over the audience. ;) But I've never seen that for myself.

But I'm glad the show was still enjoyable for ya, despite the interruption!! :)

LOL...I saw that exact same show! When the music went off the Genie said, "Groovy" and walked off the stage. When the genie referred to the lamp as "my prescious" everyone in the audience erupted, at least I did.

What's this DVD coming out? Is it just for Aladdin?

LMAO! I love the My Precious joke!! I've seen a couple different variations on it - just saw a wonderful one yesterday. "He doesn't want to keep the promise he made to us, precioussssss!"

The DVD coming out is the Aladdin platinum DVD on October 5, and it will have an Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular segment on it, from what I hear. :)

I also enjoyed the line when the Genies walk down the stairs in "Friend Like Me, "look what we did on Trading Spaces!" BTW, Did they change genies?

After Aladdin, all I need is Cinderella and I'll have all the Disney movies....of course, now I have to start getting them all in DVD format! :hammer:

I don't know of any recent additions a Genie. There's two or three that I see on a regular basis. The last time I think they brought in any new lead Genies was back in November. :)

Random fact: one of the lead Genies in the show currently was Doody (one of the T-Birds) in the film Grease. :)
