From a Disney website (http://www.arondaparks.com/Press Event October 10.htm) about tomorrow:

"New projects at WDW over the next several years"

What do you think will be announced? Here's my prediction:

Near-term:

Soaring
Stitch's Great Escape
Auto Stunt Show
Finding Nemo Living Seas makeover
Nightmare Before Christmas seasonal makeover of HM

Longer-term:

New look of Future World (Discoveryland?) at EPCOT
Stormrider at EPCOT (taken from TDS)
Other minor new attractions connected with EPCOT "new look"
Mermaid Lagoon at MK (similiar to TDS)
Upgrade of classics PotC, Space Mountain, and GMR (my wish list)
New bigger better version of Indy ride at MGM

..and others... I predict that tomorrow's announcements will be almost on par with the Disney Decade announcements made in 1990.

Additional stuff:

AK: Eversest and Flik's Fun Fair

As for the Indy ride- that would be awsome, but I doubt we'll here anything about it tomorrow. Oh, I can't wait!

It would be nice if they mention these things...but for some reason I don't think I'm going to get my hopes up.

*crosses fingers* I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, tomorrow will be a GREAT day! I'm heading to EPCOT tomorrow, then the Studios and MK Saturday, so I hope to see the improvements beginning! And Saturday, I'm going to buy the Sentinel, and frame the whole article which is going to tell about the new projects!

Not to dissapoint you guys, but I doubt we'll see half of that. Soarin is comming, so is the Stunt Show & Stitch, but NOTHING else has been ever rumored past the blue sky phase. I think we won't see a 20k re-do, nor Flik, and we WON'T see the total Epcot re-hab.

I'm betting on some form of EPCOT rehab, of the type of New Tomorrowland... mostly fascade changes and smaller attractions all over the place, in addition to one or two big ones... I'm betting on Stormrider between LS and TL.

I'd rather Epcot not get ANOTHER simulator. What ever happened to classic dark rides? Sigh. :(

Well, Disney is making a point for the last few years that they need to lower themselves to the level of Six Flags, saying they need more thrill rides. Well, there you go, thrill rides galore. All these recent developments, and a couple of future ones announced, and the only one that came close to the original Disney feeling is PhilharMagic. I went to WDW for the first time when I was 11. I came back amazed, and the first thing I always told anybody and everybody was that "Disney uses robots that look like people!!!" Unfortunately, we're seeing those attractions die for the sake of the Test Tracks and the Mission: Spaces. I'm not saying either of them is bad (although I do think TT is), but if the company keeps forgetting what put them on the map and what always differentiated them from the rest, is this how the hope to beat the increasing danger from Universal?
