Tommorow the Boeing 727 Jetliner will turn 40 years old becoming the oldest jetliner still in service today. The Boeing 727 made her madien flight on Febuary 9th, 1963 from the Boeing company's home in Washington State. The 727 became the worlds best selling jetliner, Over 1,815 727's were sold between 1963 until 1984. The shorter bodied 727-100 first flew in 1963. Later in 1967 the Longer 727-200 made it's first flight. United Airlines Became the 727's Launch Customer. Today There a not many 727's left. But many airlines like Delta, Northwest, FedEx, DHL, UPS are sill flying 727's. HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY TO THE BEAUTIFUL BOEING 727. :sohappy: :wave:
 
I used to unload 27's at the FedEX megahub in Memphis. It was a blast not to mention I got the perk of the Luonge at SM :-D too bad that's no more :(
