First I want to say Welcome to the family and congrats!
I have had the opportunity to work with a group of CPs. They are a fun bunch, but I have seen two types of behavior that I would hope does not pervade. If you guys are coming to the program to party, sorry that probably won't happen, at least often. And when you do party remember there are regular CMs your age who know how to have fun and know the clubs at Downtown Orlando quite well *points to self*.
So in other words, the WDWCP is not about partying or making good money. It's about having the opportunity to work in a magical environment. However, there will be things you will experience that you may not have thought would happen at Disney, but they will so stay positive. And please do not exclude regular CMs from your circle of friends, just because we aren't part of the program doesn't mean we can't hang out with ya!
So good luck and please have fun and stay positive. Who knows some of you might end up in front entrance merchandise with me :) And I know what nights which Orlando clubs have good drink specials and free admission for people who work in the hospitality industry oh ya!

From my understanding wether you are coming to the program to party or not when most people aren't working they are partying.
when you get a bunch of college student's from all across the country in one place with a whole semester off of school it's inevitable!

I wasn't saying it was wrong to party, if I was why would I be telling everyone that I know good spots in downtown. I just meant that it is a job and it is a fun job at that but it is a job none the less. Does that clear things up?

Depending on which park and when you work, you might not want to do much partying. If you work MK or Epcot and you are a CP, there is a very good chance that you will be closing.

There are plenty of people that don't do lots of partying.

I'm figuring I'll be doing a lot of work while I'm down there, but I'm going to try and go out at least once or twice a week so I stay sane. Lol, don't you think that's a good number?:animwink:

That's all I do honey, I go out once a week and it's not always really partying hard. But I try to go to a club every two weeks and go nuts! I LOVE dancing in clubs, uh, it just rocks. But I think anybody who parties practically every night is just trying to make up for something missing in their life.:dazzle:

But anybody who loves to go out drinkin' and dancing, even once in a while let me know. I am a UCF girl and I would love to show you guys who us locals get down ;)

Hey guys, it's getting close! I hope I will get the chance to work with you! Welcome to the family and remember working for Disney IS magical if you make the choice to keep it that way :).

I was a CP for a year, and I really didn't party at all.... and had an absolutele blast! In fact, I even only went to PI once. Just goes to show that you don't HAVE to party to have a good time.

However, if you are a person who does like to party, here's a couple of suggestions:

1) Don't be obnoxious. Just don't. Especially if you have an apartment full of vengeful CPs below you. They will call security on you. (evil laugh)

2) Be smart. Don't get trashed the night before you gotta work. It's not fun, and when it affects your mood at work it reflects poorly on the parks.

Seriously, though, to everyone going, have fun!
