To change or not to change??

We are unable to receive the free dining offer. Will be in WDW 12/4-12/10
What do you think the chances would be to upgrade our room? Staying in AOA mermaid room. Was thinking if we could upgrade to a moderate resort would it be around the same price? I cannot get onto the website and was wondering if anyone has done this in the past. Is it worth it?

Personally I would rather stay at a Moderate than AOA, looking at the site, it looks like it might be around a $70 per night difference to stay at a Mod instead. I personally like PORS a lot and having a nice restaurant like Boatwrights and being able to take the boat to DTD is totally worth it.

Depends on your budget, I haven't stayed at AOA but the moderates are nice. But if $$ is something you are trying to save it might not be worth it.
