Good evening..I still get excited when I read someone from my country is planning their first trip across the golden pond for 14 nights inside the " Magic " bubble..It sends shivers up my spine as I reflect back to our first trip in 2004 and how we were so unprepared for what was in front of us..Of course I now know how important planning is in what I consider to be the most planned vacation of your life..To me it's like a mission where every little detail is just as important as the major ones..Now I know some of you,who have been going since you've been a child, can pack your case blindfolded, but what advice would you give to someone, especially from this side of the Atlantic, who are about to venture into a magical land for 14 days & nights..At my Disney house parties, there is always one person who asks me.Where do I start.?.How do you explain to someone what lies ahead.:inlove: ...I usually advise to read various books that we all love and know, and of course recommend this awesome site..But until you touch down on planet Orlando and enter the Bubble,do you realise the immense size of this magical land..Beam me up people with your suggestions please, before my next party on Saturday 31st..:bookworm:

When someone approaches us about going to WDW for the first time we: Pull out the Disney Vacation DVD and watch it because they usually havent ordered a copy yet. With us pausing and offering comments. We pull out the park maps and explain the breakdown of the parks and what unique things each holds. We pull out some photos to show past trip events. We open up the computer and hit some sites that they can look at aat their leisure at home. We help them with guide books to get an idea of what the resorts are like, pricing, dining menus etc. and I always top it off with a tour of my Disney room and pin books.

A friend is going for her first visit to the parks at
Christmas. I suggested she get Birmbaums WDW book
and check out this and other sites, read some trip reports
and don't expect to see and do it all this first trip.

I always volunteer to be their tour guide!
I ALWAYS do too but so far nobody's said... "Hey, I like that idea. We'll take you up on that." And I've tried every way I can to convince them it would benefit them a lot. Guess I've got to get myself in one of those deals with one of those rich Manhattan families... but naaah.. I wouldn't stoop that low... even for a Disney trip.

EVERYONE who knows me, asks this question.. (Disney Dork Deb in da houz.... holla!!!!) LOL I direct them here, to wdwmagic first and foremost, as well as the Unofficial guide, Youtube and the Disney site. I do suggest firstly, to figure out a budget, then resort. Then, pour over the menus!!! (Ok I admit it, a HUGE part of a trip to Disney for this Foodie is.... (say it with me) the FOOD!!!!) Then, it's time to check out the attractions, parades and rides... then check air fare!!! In my case, the very first thing I do, is call @Kingdom Konsultant and start my countdown :)
