To anyone complaining about guest behavior at WDW

Very sad. But I don't run the Disney Corporation. This thing will make money, or it won't. It has a totally different "public".
All personal opinion - I'm not right, you aren't wrong.... I'm simply happy that the US Parks have not descended to that level of behavior - YET.

This happens all the time in China, so I'm not surprised. Some kid in China broke a Nick Wilde figure made out of LEGOs, and another pooped in the aisle of an airplane because the bathrooms were "too small", which grossed out the other passengers.
Maybe they should educate people on preventing their kids from doing this. I'd love to see videos or storybooks that teach kids to not go in prohibited areas and break stuff and to hold in their bladders while waiting on bathroom lines (#1 reason why parents let kids urinate in public there).

Because Americans/American kids are *always* well behaved

Well, I don't think I've ever seen a kid going to the bathroom outside at WDW (and this is not a cue for everyone who has to bring it up ;))

Unfortunately, I'm not a world traveler so my knowledge of other cultures is somewhat limited. So I was very surprised to hear this. I would not have expected this at all.

That being said, I think we need to take this with a grain of salt and remember that there are polite and impolite people everywhere.

This isn't a reason to not complain about the well known "tourists" this time of year at WDW, because they are notoriously horrible.
The stuff happening in Shanghai is unfortunately part of their "culture" there and it's happening in their own country. (shrug).

seen literally everything in the video at WDW at some point.
Same, WDW and DLP alike. I can sorta blank out everything mentally, except for public urinating. And shoving and skipping in lines.

Chinese can be so polite and sophisticated in their manners, to an extent where it makes my inner boorish European uncomfortable. And then at other times they can be so gross. It's a bit paradoxical.

Polite and impolite are not always similar in East and West. Which is fair enough, I (or at least my behaviour) have been regarded an ill-mannered, boorish barbarian all too often in the eyes of my East Asian friends - although they are then too polite to say that openly. :)

A story about this very thing.

One day, at my work (I own a gas station, or "Petrol" in you're whacked out vernacular) an older Asian man, probably around 60 was standing/squatting on the side of my building. I went out to take a look at what he was doing, and....

He was pooping. Not 10 feet from my building and less then that from a main road. He was wearing nice clothes, and was super polite about it. Even cleaned it up, dog poo style.

I was completely flabbergasted. I wanted to call the police, but...he did clean it up, and apologized. So I didn't. Weird day.

At this point, would the $5.5B used to build this place have been better utilized in improvements to WDW? I think so. I still do not understand why Disney has built three theme parks within 1000 miles of each other-Hong Kong, Shanghai & Tokyo, when they only have two parks 2500 miles apart in North America.

TWDC would wish it had build three parks here, the center of the world.
Tokyo is not at all owned by Disney - in the early 80s Disney didn't understand the Asian market, and Shanghai and Hong Kong are co-owned with the government, which strongarms Disney.

Maybe Disney should get out of China completely-sell off their interests in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and make as much as they can from licensing fees (which I am assuming is how they can not own a "Disney" park but still allow Disney IPs and trademarks to be used).

Saying the Government of Hong Kong strong arms Disneybis quite a stretch. They stood up for themselves once.

Licensing fees are already where Disney makes money with their international parks. That's the big con. While Euro Disney SCA and Hongkong International Theme Parks struggle to stay profitable The Walt Disney Company is still collecting its licensing and operating fees.
