I really, really want the old TL 98 back. TOmorrowland 98 was SUPERB when it opened...bright, cheery and fun. Now, with the demise of Rocket Rods, Cosmic Waves, the Subs and the uberlong Space renovation, it's DEAD in there.
I DON'T AGREE with people saying "let's go back to the old look...repaint the Mary Blair murals...get a new Peoplemover..." and stuff. No. The Peoplemover was popular, but just because an attraction will be succesful if redone doesn't mean they'll spend millions to fix the tracks up and build something that was hardly ever full to capacity (even ONE stinking train).
I think that despite the decay, TL 98 was amazing. Club Buzz Stage looks so UGLY, i can't believe they actually installed it. It's such an eyesore. As Merlin Jones of SaveDisney.com puts it, "Club Buzz: modernist design, or a yard sale?" It's a yard sale. More like a junk sale.
The Mary Blair murals were cute, for history's sake anyway, but are not worth restoring. THey're irrelevant to Tomorrowland, and always were. The "future of children" is so ridiculous as a theme for murals.
Buzz Lightyear is one of the biggest mistakes..ever. The sign looks like blue cardboard with letters stapled on. The Rocket Rods sign was cooler, and more visible, despite being only on one side. Anyway, people underrated Rocket Rods. THEY WERE FUN!!! Really fun!! They were so neat, and looked much cooler than the clunky Peoplemover cars.
The Rocket Rods returning is more likely than Peoplemover returning.
Anyway, I wa sjust sharing my thoughts.
