If you are a member of AAA, they usually have the most elaborate pamplets about these locations--second best would be checking the Web. My expertise would be Anaheim. If you want the most Magical vacation possible, plan to stay at one of the three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort--the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, or the Flagship of the Disneyland Resort, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. With that as your starting point, then select a park ticket--a Five Day Park Hopper in your case, and consider a three-day meal plan--nice to have, but not too restrictive--a five day meal plan would be restrictive. Next, plan out your park days, being sure to spend plenty of time at both Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney District. Consider taking a guided tour, like the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour (fabulous). Finally, plan your restaurant choices.

Every truly Magical Disneyland Resort vacation consists of at least a couple, if not all of the following:

Disneyland Park:
Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orlean's Square
Plaza Inn character breakfast (one of Walt's favorite restaurants)

Disney's California Adventure:
Ariel's Grotto
one of the restaurants in Golden Vine Winery

Downtown Disney District:
Rainforest Cafe, HoB, etc

Grand Californian Hotel:
Story Teller's Cafe or Napa Rose (the latter of which is VERY expensive)

Disneyland Hotel:
Hook's Pointe and Wine Cellar
Chef Goofy's

Leave time for relaxation...including visits to the Never Land Pool!
