Tips for Touring EPCOT From Late Afternoon to Close? No Fastpass for Now

Hello Once Again Disney Friends,

My girlfriend and I are planning to visit EPCOT on our first day in the late afternoon/evening after going to Magic Kingdom that morning. We will be there Tuesday 1/30. We want to take advantage of the extra magic hours EPCOT offers that night. I am really excited about riding the rides, and my girlfriend is more interested in the food at the World Showcase. So we will be obviously spending more time in the World Showcase that day. What do you think is the best way to mix the world showcase and rides without any fastpasses as of now?

We will check out Illuminations and want to do one of the big 3 that day (Test Track, Frozen Ever After, Soarin'). We will also be returning the next morning, so anything we miss we can do the next day. We do have fastpass for Imagination, Frozen, and Spaceship that morning.

When it comes to WS food, we want to sample from all of the countries. Will the quick service restaurants/kiosks be open during EMH?

My strategy as of now is to get there around 4:30, check out the character spot if low wait (we both want to meet Mickey in his tux). Then possibly go to Nemo/Crush and start the WS in UK and head around counter clockwise.

I apologize for the rambling.....Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first trip since fastpass+ has been introduced, so it's a little different when trying to plan. Thanks for taking the time to read and have a great day!!

As soon as you finish with your fastpasses in the morning, you can be on looking for one for Epcot. Soarin will probably come up as an option for 2 quite easily with a little persistence.

Personally I like to split Epcot into 2 halves if I have 2 days, so some of FW and half of WS one day, the rest the next. For that reason I would switch your Imagination FP to Mission Space, and start your afternoon with Soarin (hopefully with FP at some point) and Imagination and then onto WS. The m&g though could take a while, I don't know how long the lines will be.

Starting with Canada, you have the film (which I find very disorientating!), the UK and France (again with the film) before Morocco and Japan. Are you planning to eat somewhere that day? Those last 2 pavilions could be a good bet if you end up there! Of all those nations, Morocco is my favourite - don't miss the exhibition and browsing the stalls can be deceptively time consuming :). Check out the gardens in Canada and Japan, and the UK too.
