Tips for handling split stay transfer?

Hello,

I was curious if anyone had any tips for a smooth transfer to a different resort, or how it generally happens?

Why arrive on 9/13 at AoA and on 9/15 we transfer from the AoA over to POFQ. On that same day of moving to a different resort we have a 10:15 ADR at Trattoria al Forno for a character breakfast.

How should I approach this for a smooth transition and to also be on time for the ADR? Are we checked into a room at POFQ without being present or when we return to the resort will we get checked in? Because of this I've debated moving our entire stay to POFQ.

Thanks!

Just check out at AoA before you leave for breakfast, and leave your bags with Bell Services to be transferred to POFQ. (Keep anything you'll need during the day with you as the bags could take several hours to transfer). Go enjoy your breakfast and spend a day at a park (HS and Epcot will be within walking distance after breakfast), and when you're done -- ideally, sometime after the 4pm official check-in time -- head to POFQ. If you've checked online, you should get a "room ready" text, but if not, just head to the front desk to get your room assignment. Pick up your bags from Bell Services at POFQ if you wish, or simpler yet, go to your room and call Bell Services and have them delivered to you. Easy-peasy!

Have the AoA transfer your bags to PORFQ, and check in early at your second resort. As long as your luggage isn't needed for a change of cloths for your ADR, then you have nothing to worry about it.

We did a split stay and I think it took all day, into the late afternoon for our bags to arrive. I'm not sure exactly because we were out and about, but I vaugely recalled that it was a late afternoon arrival

Usually bell services will say that luggage will be delivered prior to like 4 or 5 PM. So for the most part, not a big deal, just don't have them transfer anything you might NEED before the evening.

Bell services at the new resort will hold your luggage until you check in. Even if you do online check in so get your room assigned automagically, you may still need to stop by/call bell services to have your luggage brought up. It's an easy process, just allow yourself enough time to either drop your bags at bell services, or have them come get them.
