Tips for CSR, please!

So we just switched our Thanksgiving trip reservation from POR to CSR in order to get the free dining. Although I have stayed in many resorts, this will be my first at CSR and I do not know anyone who has stayed there either. So I am looking for any helpful tips or advice on the resort, for example which section to request, transportation tips, food options, etc.

Cabanas buildings are our favorites!

Cabanas is a section close to the main building and the dig site. It is a beautiful resort, one of my faves!

Rancho's are our favourites.(the main pool and front lobby are not really that far away as many people like to say)

We have stayed here twice, and loved it both times. We have stayed in buildings 7A and 8A and preferred 8A. Building 8A is very close to a bus stop, close to the main pool, and maybe a 5 minute or less walk to the main building. Bus service was good, and the trips to the parks were quick once the buses arrived. We brought breakfast food with us, so didn't spend much time at the main building. For relaxing check out the hammocks by the lake, they are a nice way to spend a little time in the evening. Make sure to checkout Buzz2001's web site, it contains a wealth of information for the resort.

The section to request (not that requesting means getting!) is the one you think looks the best from the outside. All the rooms are the same. Take a look online and see which one floats your boat.

I like them all! Wherever they put me, that's where I'd go!
