Tips for a first time planner

I am planing a trip to Disneyland next year and want to see HMH. I have a few quick questions. When does HMH usally open for the holiday season? When is the best time to go see it? Also is there any good hotels that are close enough to walk to the park? And finally, what is the best airport to fly into.

Fly into Orange County - John Wayne Airport (Code SNA) if you can. It is the closest airport to DL at about a 20 minute ride, very convenient, and much smaller then LAX. As for the hotels, I have stayed at both the Hilton and the Paradise Pier Hotel. There are plenty of hotels in the area within walking distance and on the ART route. I have read very positive comments about the Candy Cane Inn and Howard Johnson's. I would suggest looking at tripadvisor of hotel feedback.

I am sorry, I cannot help you on HMH. I belive it opens late in September, but not 100% sure. Happy planning and enjoy DLR!!

HMH usually opens at the very end of September, or the first week of October. This year it opened on September 29.
