Hi Everyone,

Towards the end of August a party of roughly 20 of us, are flying out to Orlando. We are staying off-site for 18 days to celebrate my parents 25th wedding anniversary. They are renewing their vows in a ceremony, and we are planning on visiting all the Disney prks (including water parks), Universal parks, Sea World and Busch Gardens.

My dad has already organised a suprise character breakfast and limo for everyone, but I would LOVE to be able to suprise my parents. They do a lot for my brother and I, and my dad is hard to hide things from some times!

Does any one know of anything I can do - free or at a cost (preferably not too large) for them both at this special time? (In any of the parks?)

Mmm... free in disney? nope! LOL
But if you have any planned sit down meals, I would suggest ordering a anniversary cake for them. you get to pick everything and the prices aren't bad at all. $30 to $45 dollars

Lol that is true - although I know you can get the free guest pins for an anniversary etc.
I was wondering if you could get their names mentioned in any shows etc so am looking in to that.
I may contact the Grand Floridian where we are having the character breakfast and see what they say.
Thanks for the info on the cakes :)

For my Dad's 70th Bday, we took the boat cruise from the Boardwalk to watch Illuminations at Epcot. They provided sodas and a cake. I think it was around $300 for the whole thing. There were eight of us, the boat may have accomodated 10, not sure if they have one for 20 people.

Back in my single days, around '98 or so, I went down with my best friend (future Best Man 5 years later) his sister and husband and his parents who were celebrating their 25th while we were there. His mom booked ADR lunch at the Castle on the anniversary and mentioned the occasion when she booked it months earlier.

Well, at the end of the meal, the waiter came over and wished them a Happy Anniversary and presented them with a pair of Mickey champagne flutes. That night after a loooong day at MK, they returned to their room and found it decorated by Mousekeeping with another surprise package on the table...a WDW snowglobe!

We had nothing to do with it, all it took was a mention when Mom booked it and they put notes on everything else. Talk about Magical, huh?
