I know that the Timekeeper is closed for good. I wanted to know if disney sells any of the ride parts, or TV screens or anything from this show or any other disney ride or show?

nope.. anything they sell will be on disneyauctions.com. Since this attraction still isn't technically gone for good, they aren't gonna sell anything from it yet. Anyway, most old attraction parts become spare parts for new attractions

Here's a message that UltimateDisneyFreak posted on the Intercot Boards regarding this Timekeeper issue:

"Hold on now. I really don't think that Timekeeper is closing, for now at least.

There's a sign that's placed just outside the attraction when it's open, as an "advertisement" so people will turn their head to see the attraction, which is a bit hidden away.

The sign is removed when the attraction is seasonally closed, but has been, in the past, placed out and covered a little while prior to its opening. That sign is sitting outside the attraction right now, covered up, which would lead me to believe that it will be opened up again soon.

I can understand it being used as a break room now, but I could only imagine that the parts they saw being removed were for possible refurbishment, as that's what they have done to CoP in the past while it was down."

I agree with what UltimateDisneyFreak said and I really don't think Timekeeper is closing for good for now, either. I'm trying harder to NOT believe Internet/CM rumors/gossip nowadays.

Besides, if Timekeeper was closing for good, the company would've already made official announcements, press releases, articles, etc. saying that it's going away...but they did not! Therefore, I, for one, believe that Timekeeper will reopen for Christmas, even though it didn't reopen for Thanksgiving.

Hey everyone,

I remember back in April when I met with Greg Ritucci-Chinni from WDI him addressing Timekeeper after a question from one of the cast members in the audience regarding its future. From what I got from him, the biggest enemy of that attraction is actually the way the doors are facing. When a person is walking through the park, typically their attention is drawn to the right. He continued by saying, alright picture yourself in the magic kingdom just entering tomorrowland from main street. You're attention diverts briefly on alien encounter, but not as much as when you decide to come out of tomorrowland later (unless you go from there to fantasyland). If you turn your sight right after that, you pass the lunching pad, a glimpse of astro orbiter and TTA, and then right smack into buzz lightyear. If you're a kid, you don't have to go any further and completely bypass timekeeper. If you're a parent with kids, again, no further. The majority of the people who make it into timekeeper, greg said, were those to get fast passes for buzz. Now as far as the doors, ever notice which way the entrance doors for timekeeper are facing, they're backwards generally speaking. Ever think about the exit doors, well Greg has and he stated that when the folks at wdi in the magic kingdom have been looking at the possibility of reversing the flow in timekeeper, basically making the exit the entrance. In that sense, even though some people are stopping their sight on buzz, there's the opportunity for more advertising right at the entrance of timekeeper to make it more known at least. Between that and creating a new attraction there, those are the options for timekeeper.

I may have misinterpreted this, but as far as a break room (i'm assuming one for the CM's) there's one right in the tunnel below merchant of venus, a fairly large one, so that doesn't seem like a possibility.

Hope this helps,
Brian

When I left around 0ct of 2001 Industrial Design and engineering was working with WDI on the plans to re-theme the Timekeeper entrance into a Buzz meet and greet area. Obvioulsy since this hasen't happened there still seems to be some faith in Timekeeper. In my opinion what the should do is build modular sets which can be placed there for when TK is down but easily removable so that during peak season you can re-open.

not to question anything you've said, but as of this afternoon, it's still being used as a greenroom for the tomorowland characters (ie- a breakroom)

they're actually using the rocks off the to right of the entrance, by the Main Street Bridge

It's depressing. I just got back yesterday, and I did every Circlevision ride at Epcot. I love those movies! They gave me serious Timekeeper withdrawals. When I was at the Magic Kingdom, there was no sign Timekeeper had ever existed, even though it's still listed in the Guide Map. :(

Hmm.. do ya'll think the queue "tunnel" is way too long and big for this small of an attraction? Seems they are wasting space... Don't get me wrong.. i like the show.. but the building layout is kinda odd to me..

This proves again that, sometimes, Disney just doesn't make any sense. Both attractions are seasonal, I'd say Guests know CoP better than Timekeeper, but TK is in the map and CoP isn't... :hammer: :brick:

:hammer: *Brian Fellows voice* Dat's CRAZY!

I'm confused now... so when CoP will open for the holiday season, TK will not?? That sad. :(

I think Disney has closed it for good. Every day that goes by that it isnt open makes it seem more like it has closed and will be replaced soon. What do you think will replace it? Maybe a new show?

Please don't say that Timekeeper is closed for good just yet, because earlier today, I found out the following on the Intercot.com Discussion Boards:

-The show pieces and animatronic figures in the theater are still there.

-The room was being used as storage for a couple of Outdoor food carts, but nothing permanent was moved in.

-The exterior A-frame sign is still covered outside, as is the illuminated sign near the front entrance which goes black when turned off.

Since there is no sign, THAT is weird. I thought the sign stayed up even when it was closed... :veryconfu

The sign just gets blacked out...they reilluminate it when the ride is open.

again I say... I was there today. It looks like everything is there, since what has been removed is out of guest view. And like I said, it is being used as an entertainment breakroom
