2 1/2 to 3 hours

It takes bout 2 1/2 -3 hrs to get there...I live in Coral Springs but my boyfriend lives in West Boca....we just jump on the turnpike and it straight to Osceola Parkway. Minor delays due to construction.

plan on about 3 hours

We live very close to the airport in Fort Lauderdale, and it usually takes us about 3 hours from door to door. Make sure to take the Osceola parkway AND NOT 192 through Kissimme. It's about 210 miles. NemoRocks must REALLY move to make it there in 1.5 hours from West Palm! (Ft. Laud to WPB about 50 miles, so NemoRocks covers the remaining 160 miles very quickly).

Aww I KNEW I could count on you guys! Thanks! This allows me to convince my brother to schedule a whole travel day so we don't miss any time in the parks - extending the original 12 day trip to 14 days!

Eh, I can do 1:30 with good traffic and no stops....only time it's taken me at least three is when there was a really bad rainstorm.

The other times I've traveled with my parents though we've always gotten there in about 2 hours.

Keep in mind...things like rush hour, traffic accidents, rain may slow you down. It usually takes me about 3.5 - 4 hours from Hialeah which is about 45min south of Ft.Lauderdale and I travel at about 70-75mph.

I agree with other posters...stay off 192 and take Osceola Parkway.

Taking the I-95 to Turnpike to Osceola route, where exactly so you pick up the turnpike (it's not clear by looking at the map I have).
Thanks- I'll be making the drive on good ole Christmas Day!!:xmas:
(wow, seems like there are plenty of people who take that route!)

Just did the drive with my friend who lives in Davie (right near the Ft. Lauderdale airport) and it took us just under 3 hours, along the Turnpike. We almost had to get off the 'Pike at one point because there had been an accident earlier that morning that had closed the highway... mercifully it was gone by the time we got there because my friend figured that heading over to I-95 would have cost us a good hour and a half.

Bottom line: it's worth the tolls!! You get there much MUCH more quickly! (And cops are less likely to pull you over for speeding, according to my friend... :lookaroun )
