Tiki Room History

I have a professor who used to be a CM at DL and she said that during the 70's she worked at ISAM and the Tiki Room. She was certain that she was a waitress at the Tiki Room, made good tips, and grew to hate the music and the singing birds. Now, I know that it was walts idea to have the Tiki Room be a place to eat but the idea was scrapped during the planning stages (although, the room retained the benches and chairs intended for the resturant.)
My question is this: Was there a time during the 70's when they actually made the Tiki Room a resturant and, if so, when did they change it back to the way it is today. I cannot find any info on the resturant on the web and I can't think of what else it could be that would have a singing animatroic show (except perhaps Club 33 with the talking vulture. But it doesn't sing, I think.)
Thanks for you help!

I don't think a restuarant ever opperated in the Tiki Room, as the idea was scratched during the planing stages. However, they were fully prepared to open the Tiki Room as a restaurant.

The Alladin's Oasis show area used to be a restuarant, The Tahitian Terrace, I believe. Perhaps they had some animatronics there or at least the music.
