++++ EDIT ++++
Forgot to add one other item... Remember those classic Spaceship Earth posters at the entrance to the ride at EPCOT -- the ones with the earth floating through space and the classic Spaceship Earth pavilion logo (the one in my avatar)? Sadly, they are now gone.
Not sure how long they've been away -- but they were still there back in late September.
+++++++++++++
Well, my five-day trek had to be cut way short due to a family emergency, but thought I'd pass along a few minor updates.
Philharmagic was "way down" for part of the day 01/26 according to a CM. Some type of major malfunction, I guess. But they got it up and running well before EMH kicked in.
No work had started yet on prettying up the castle. However, due to all the rehab work on the hub, the trolleys can no longer run (plywood walls cover part of the tracks on the hub). That means that the Trolley show on main street is now being done using a (Gasp!) double decker bus instead.
Pretty heavy crowds at Stitch once EMH kicked in, but otherwise, I only saw a one-preshow wait (15 min). By the way -- my first time on the attraction. I thought it was cute. But, I never rode AE, so I cannot compare it.
CoP was in full swing, with pretty generous crowds all day long. Most of the time I saw the building, it had about 15-20 people waiting for the next theatre to roll around.
At EPCOT on Thursday, I was amazed at the number of people going over to gawk at the construction around The Land. Lots of folks peering around and over walls to see what was up.
Took advantage of evening EMH at EPCOT -- managed to ride Test Track five times in a row without offloading (one of the last few riders of the night). Woo Hoo!
Took Keys to the Kingdom -- and talk about a surreal experience: got to see some of the Share a Dream Come True performers practicing backstage. A bunch of guys in T-shirts and shorts dancing around with chimney sweep brooms behind a golf cart full of speakers. Really weird to see everything stripped down like that -- but neat, nonetheless.
Sorry I can't provide more updates, but as I said, I was cut WAY short because of the family deal.
