Tickets not used?

I have searched the forums for my exact situation but havent found the answers I am looking for....
With that said... I booked a package back in October. My daughter was supposed to go with me but was not able to go on this trip. :(
I still have her room key which is the key to the world that has the park passes on it. You know the ones you get when you check in. This pass was not used at all. It was not even used to gain access to the room. Now from what I read these tickets expire 14 days after they are first used. So my question is if the ticket has not been scanned yet are the park passes still good? If I were to book another trip lets say in a year would the park passes still allow access since it has not had its first use even though the other passes with the package has been?
If the passes are still good how long will they be good for? What would be my best course of action with this?

The ticket is still good because it has not been used for access to one of the parks. You would definitely be able to use the pass on another trip because it has not been used & is still perfectly good. In theory, the pass will be good forever, or until it gets used. I think the best thing for you to do is hold onto the pass put in a safe place (but not so safe that you'll forget where you put it) & save it for a future trip. My family has done this several times before & never had any problems.

Plus, on the future trip you should be able to have the front desk transfer the ticket from the old room key to the new one so that she doesn't have to juggle two cards, one for the room and a different one for the parks.

Take into account that when you book a package, everyone in the room has to be on the same package. So you would have to book as though she wasn't going with you and add her to the room when you arrive. Which can create problems with DME on arrival, as she won't be on the booking.

If you book room-only and get everyone else's tickets when you arrive, no problem.

The ticket will be valid forever until the first time it's used for entry. Then the 14-day clock starts ticking.

Have fun planning! :D
